Thank you so much for this video Miss Debbie. So true about the smell and colour of green banana dumpling Miss Debbie. Growing up in Jamaica back in the day, my mother would make these. I loved the smell, colour, taste and texture so much. I am going to try and make some.

In America I do regular flour dumplings to go in my chicken and dumplings but I have not made any other kind of dumplings thank you for sharing your recipes with us hugs🌹😊🌸

They are regular bananas which are not ripe . The caribbean kitchen has Lots of recipies using green bananas .

No AZ man! Green banana also called figs can be found in the local west Indian market or a Bodega! A separate area from regular ones!

@@azman6568 well from I born I know green banana as fig and they don't turn the yellow like the regular ones! But they will ripen and turn sweet tho! Guess u have to just try buy them and see🤷🏿‍♀️

DEB CAN YOU PLEASE ANSWER? I keep getting different answers to the question I want you to ask. When buying green bananas is it the same type of banana at Walmart etc but just not ripe! Or, are they a special kind of banana. I think they may be just regular grocery store uncooked bananas but I'm not sure. Please answer my question I love your show. i love you Debbie Debz

@Az Man. I am in The DMV area. I am not sure the scientific difference but I do know that this green banana you CANNOT get out of your regular US grocery store (Giant, shop Rite, Weis, Safeway,Wegmans , food lion, Walmart, Target etc). You Have to go to the Carribean Market or Asian Market and even then you will NOT find it with the regular Bananas that ripens. It's separated. I hope this helps you. Most time, I have found it next to the green or ripe Plaintains.
