Well, i made a little research on that and both the table cream that you find in the US and the one that we have in Brazil have a thickening agent. The american one is thickened with carrageenan and here in Brazil it is thickened with xanthan gum. Unfortunately it's still a industrialized product that comes in a can... Even though it doesn't have a ton of ingredients, it's not a natural product :( But we have a trick here in Brazil to make it even thicker: we leave the can in the fridge for a couple of hours and when it's super cold, we open the can upside down to discard the water that separates from the fat.

Trust me, the brazil trifle doesn't fit cream cheese. A famous recipe among my family is a lemon trifle, in which we put a can of condensed milk, a carton of heavy cream and a small lemon's juice in a blender and make the "tower" that we cover with a thick heavy cream mix of whatever you think that combines with your trifle ingredient. I reccomend you mix a lot of guava paste in the blender mix, do the tower and cover it with any kind of strong flavored fruit heavy cream mix. Tell me if it came out good because I'm not really a trifle master lol
