@@craftzars Yea I watch his channel a lot too. I am going to make the one you made but add the ability to change the jaws with screws so I will build out the mounting seat for the jaws so that can be done. I am also going to make the screw insert for the main screw very long and thick so there is little chance for bending with abuse, maybe 1" screw. I know it is overkill but if you look at the Fireball video where he tries to break everything, that was the weakest part before the swivel which this one does not have. No holes drilled in the screw :) The other addition will be another layer on the anvil that is very hard steel so it is thicker and harder. I might add some side supports under the anvil to decrease the possible deformation of the tube if someone really beats on it. I am thinking of using 3/4 plate for the jaw work. Let me know your thoughts and if I'm crazy.

@craftzars Жыл бұрын
@@rockon-wbfqlkjqhsydic72683 yeah i want to make changeable jaws too. But thats for future project maybe when i make smelter so i can heat treat jaws also. Also my thread is almost inch , its 20mm and inch is 25.4mm anyway now my weakest point is jaws anyway. After jaws i think it will be handle

@@craftzars I'm looking to build my vise here soon. Can u supply a materials list so I have a rough idea on what to get? I'm going with a crush washer inside as well. But yours isn't super huge or over the top. Well over engineered for its size too
@craftzars
@craftzars 3 жыл бұрын
@@justinshields4216 there is full part/material list in video description. I just copied from other designs and made what size i need. I liked this design because it gives maximum jaw opening. After some heavy use only downside is jaws, they are soft and leave dents easily. I have plan to make hardened jaws, and then vise will be completed.

@@craftzars I see brother, what's your advice on growing a KZfaq channel? how do you stay motivated with not getting many views as desired?
@craftzars
@craftzars 2 жыл бұрын
@@diywithreza dunno, i set limit last year if i dont get 1k subs by end of year i quit making videos. First 100subs was very hard, but then youtube find out one of my videos are "good" and keep pushing it to audiance. That cat tree video of 1mil views got 90%of subs . At first it was like blessing, but then reality hits and i realise it realy brings wrong audiance to my channel,because i want this chanel as diy tools and workshop stuff not a home/cat craft videos. Chanel start is hard, you realy need to learn youtube SEO - all about how people find your videos. Because is most important thing. How people can find your vidoes and watch it if they are in search on 30 page. Nobody looks that far. After SEO, you must have good videos. Vidoe quality its probably not the first thing, because i film all my videos with phone . First thing is some kind of add value- entertaining or usefull. So after people find your video on search they realy stay at video and watch it. Longer they watch, better for you. KZfaq starts to see people like your video or videos and start pushing up on search and then magic happens. First half year with good seo on that cat tree video, i got 0-3 views per day first months, but then its starts to grow to 10, when i got some thousend views it exploded for 100views per day its start to go 1-2k per day, and after thet youtube understand - yeah this video looks good and keep pushing it and started also recomended it after other similar youtuber videos. With that video i got 1ksubs and watchtime very fast. I see youtube try to push some other my videos, but they "die" , because of booring or something. So long story short, learn about SEO. Keep making GOOD videos and wait. If you make realy good videos you WILL be recognised and only then you got your reward in subs and views and some pesos. This year i wanted to push on video quantity, but got another kid, so i dont realy have time for making videos when i have 2 small children in house. So i thinked my chanel will die, but it keeps growing. Got another 4k subs wihtout any regular video upload. I think if i was continiued upload regulary on last year, by now i probably got 10-50k subs, because its realy snowball effect. And yes start is very hard...
