I think KZfaq did not think this all the way through. For one thing educational channels created for kids in mind should not be demonetized. Kids aren’t looking for that content. Parents and teachers are! I’ve been in classrooms and schools and teachers use KZfaq all the time! It’s so discouraging that they put all these rules on my channel. 🥺

We started our kids channel a couple of months ago! We were super excited! Despite of all the changes, we'll still be happy making videos. We might try some of these other suggestions too. Thanks for the tips!🙂

I just started my kid's channel this month. Thanks for the tips, very enlightening. I was familiar with the COPPA and FTC regulations. However, it was news to me about the restrictions with monetization.

So much of this is NOT how to make money with a kids channel, but rather how to make money other places, like "Make a new channel" or "Go to Patreon". Not exactly click-bait, but certainly a bit deceiving.

I'm a professional animator and made a youtube channel for my 1 year old son. I included him into my animations with green screen shooting. It was really hard to shoot nice moments in front of the green screen but I'm happy with the results. I'm also using licensed educational songs in those videos. At the end even tho if the channel can't make a hit, it will be a good memory for him I guess. He's now 2 years old.

I'm replying to your video from 2014 on how to contact KZfaq... Just so everybody knows, after 4 attempts (by writing to them through Feedback and other given options) hoping to have one very simple question answered, I NEVER, EVER have heard from them. I'm actually quite active watching many topics I'm interested about and posting relevant content to those videos; but I have not been interested in posting video content to create a subscription channel. Although I'd find this ludicrous, my experience here prompts me to ask the question... Will my semi-passive user status contribute to the way KZfaq categorizes my posts as to their priority or the way they're seen by others? Hence my visibility as a poster? I've never violated any guidelines etc.. Anyway thanks for your informative videos, I appreciate any guidance or answers you may have in this regard.

Why is it that some family bloggers don’t have comments disabled. How can we have engagement when KZfaq limits that part once video is made for kids. Also how can you get on kids tube? What are their requirements? Thanks in advsnce

One thing.. i did see several "made for kids" channels who still have commercials (which i assume they make money from) and yes, their channel was branded as "made for kids content" since comments were disabled. So you can monitize your channel i assume, but it would be less profitable?
