Today I show you how to make one shot samples from scratch.
One shot samples are a great alternative if you don't have many VST's or just want to get creative in a different way. I'm gonna show you step by step how to create one shots.

I really only have ever used one shots. But i started 16 years ago then took a break to play some metal guitar. Back now. Excellent tutorial. Proves you can always learn something new if your mind is open.

Maybe a Tutorial for "How to find the right sounds for your beat" I mean "use your ears" is always a great advice but maybe there are some techniques

A few days ago, I purposely used my fairly noisy built in mic to record a pop can. It came out straight fire. Just added a noise gate, tuned it, and lowered the sample rate. Great LoFi sound.

Graut My comment was legit, informational and accurate to the conversation chatboard. I apologize if I offended you in anyway. I am not affiliated with iZotope or Fishfillets vst in anyway. Those referrals were spoken as my personal opinion. However, MC Creations, is subscribed to and is sponsored by iZotope and also updating their AI database. So, I've watched just about all this uploaders videos and I am assuming haven't seen his upload that discusses about marketing and advertisement. MC Creations is chained to LifeStyleDidIt's adWall as well, so when a viewer hits my adlinks at the end scene of his videos. My ad stats go up and his videos basically get referral credits and increases his adlink popup rate. This however is not the best example, cuz MCC is still only paying $1 a month so our advertising methods are currently limited. So, what I'm doing is perfectly fine. I am not spam.

It's just that the comment you posted didn't really relate to the comment I posted, seemed to promote stuff, had default profile picture, was formatted odd. You also had an odd channel name before you changed it, so I figured it was a hijacked or maliciously made channel. No offense taken! I just recommend you better humanize your channel, that's all.

Graut So I had a little fun with it? I dont use my channel. My other half and I named our accounts that way cuz thats all it was used for was for gaming. I never used it for YT so it took a little bit for me to figure out how to change it. You mentioned adding noise gate. So, my opinion, there's no better free plugin to achieve what FishFillets can do.

Good Lifestyle. It's good to be able to create your own unique sounds, that doesnt cost you that much. Perhaps a video about lots of different effects you can use on your created sounds / sample, I dunno. Personally I would love more videos on mixing, mastering, sound selection , recording vocals, mixing vocals, creating cool effects and such... And as always, Tack!!! (Thank you) And yeah, a video about sampling would be cool. Best settings to use when capture/record and such, eq before or after, Well all about sampling... Or perhaps kids these days don't sample that much? I dunno....

Relax Bro Concept. Listen. Draft. Listen. Mix. Listen. Layered/Tracked. Listen. Master. Listen. Final touches, if any. Render & Enjoy! Kinda depends on what sound/tone & genre you're aiming for. I'd assume that you'd want to at least stick to the same amount of instruments assembled/equipped to the kit or midi for that specific genre/sound/tuned kits used in a specially assembled percussion kits/packs. When making one shots, I sometimes notice that when I play notes at a very low or high register the sound either slows down or speeds up. Is there any way to correct that or should I only play notes near C5?

Ricardo Ruiz good rule of thumb is to leave a nice amount of headroom while tracking. I like to aim for -9db being the loudest peaks while the artist is tracking. As far as mixing the vocals with the beat, every mix is different so I can’t give any specific numbers

Cute tutorial LS! So not what I was expecting as far as the sample you used. Wish there were tutorials like this back when I first started music, but t I enjoyed it. Hard to believe we actually don't use sampling anymore but our sound is midi which our company had spent nearly a decade growing and actually getting all our sounds to sound real. I have applied a couple of your teachings in that area in my work and is always a help! ^_^ Looking forward to more uploads like those too.

can u plz help me ...I have focusrite 2i2 bundle I don't know how to record vocals for clarity .should I record my vocals on 44000 hz or 96000 hz buffer size 512 , 1024 ??? One question more when I download songs of kshmr from KZfaq some of their songs are so loud and their lufs integrated 6 to 8 db ...and some of their songs volume very low and their lufs 14 luf integrated ...latest songs ....what should I do I don't understand what should be best lufs for uploading to KZfaq .....

U got any tips for starting out in FL? I use ableton and tried FL on my stream just to try it and it felt intimidating

Like any big software, it takes time to learn. What you want to do is break down FL into it's windows. At the bottom right on the top bar, you have a row of buttons to access your windows. Just open a new project and experiment with it. If you don't feel like using the drum sequencer, you can drag samples into the playlist. I know a lot of Ableton users that do that in FL. It's pretty funny hearing someone say FL is complicated going from Ableton. Ableton looks like a blank canvas to me. Also, Ableton has better everything but piano roll. A shame I didn't learn Ableton too.

Also, if you still need help in FL, check out the manual. I actually ended up making a skin for FL 20, so I saw a lot of the windows in more detail. Only when you have to make sure everything is skinned right do you really know what's in all the windows. Most of it you can get by without. Was using FL for 2-3 years and never even saw some of them before.
