Your videos have been great! I have soo many questions that I hope you don’t mind me asking. - Around How many snow cones does one block of ice make. - What are your most popular flavors? - What supplies might a start up truck not think of to purchase. - Oh how I wish I could chat with you about what vendors you use to buy your supplies, list of all supplies you purchase and good rates for all of supplies. Thanks for all the videos you’ve made!

Thank you for all of these. My wife and I have talked about starting a shaved ice business because we live in a pretty hot climate and there is only one Bahama Buck's about 30 minutes from where we live. Would you be willing to make a video, or talk about, how you handle the flow on a busy day? For instance, who do you place where and what does it look like taking an order, making the snow cone, finishing the sale and then the cleanup? Thank you very much and happy New year!

Yes I’ll try to make that video. Thanks

That is all good questions. I would like to know sizes and prices? I too will also be opening a snow cone trailer.

Where do you get your jugs for the simple Syrup? Also, have you tried 1 gallon containers instead of half gallon ones for ice?
@thehaddocks3 жыл бұрын
I get the jugs a a local container store. 1 gallon would take longer to freeze but I’ll probably try it in the future

Do you keep the flavors on the shelf or fridge when you close ? And how long before it expires? Thank you

Is there a trick to pouring so that it gets to the bottom and also making the perfect dome on top
@thehaddocks3 жыл бұрын
I poke holes in the cone so the syrup gets to the bottom. You need to lightly pack it as well to keep a nice shape

Do you know if it matters what brand of flavor I use? My frozen yogurt supplier sells liquid flavor concentrates, which I'm wondering if I could use for both frozen yogurt and making my own syrups. I'm also looking at a company that does all natural flavors concentrates. In your experience, are all liquid flavor concentrates the same strength?

I’m not sure I use southern snow concentrates.

Hello, thank you for this video. I tried it at home but I can’t get that thick consistency. Would you share with me how to get the thick consistency in a syrup? Thanks again!
@thehaddocks3 жыл бұрын
It will be thicker after you mix it and it sets in for a day.

When you said in one of your other videos "you have $200 days on average", was that just the snow cone portion or the snow cones and store? Thanks. ~Basically I want to get a feel for the profit margin and if it becomes lucrative with just snow cones before I invest in all the stuff to make them. I was thinking about selling cotton candy, and candy as well to broaden the spectrum of things to supplement. I stumbled across a few of your video's today, thanks for sharing. It's inspiring.

Yes I do about $200 a day in sales on just shave ice.

Sour spray is just straight citric acid. Some dilute it with simple syrup
@spacelooper58983 жыл бұрын
@@thehaddocks So you just use the same Citric Acid that you use to help "preserve" your Simple Syrup? Like in the "making simple syrup" video. Do you find that mixing with Simple syrup has any advantage or do you prefer straight Citric Acid? Do you ever add Citric Acid to a flavor syrup? 1oz of Flavor, Concentrate, X amount of Citric Acid and top with Simple Syrup to make an actual Sour Apple or Sour Cherry etc? Thanks again.

Hi, how often would you say you had to replenish the flavors on a busy day?
@thehaddocks6 ай бұрын
We have 2 quart bottles of our more popular flavors. We mix them when we need them. Because we have the simple syrup ready to go it is really easy and quick to mix the flavors.
