Beautiful! Stained glass always makes me think of my mom who would always point them out whenever we saw them as a child. Grew up in Boston and there were Many many churches and homes with stained glass! You could also do this on the glass from the frame right? I’ll have to look into that leading stuff! Thanks again for a beautiful idea!

Hi. I love this idea, than you for sharing it! Your piece seemed a little flexible when it was finished. Was that just because it needed a little more cure time? I'm wondering if these would eventually get stiff enough that you could add hangers and hang them in a window like a stained glass suncatcher? Would it be necessary to form it inside some type of frame as a bezel?

Other's might have said this already, but instead of wax paper, you might try parchment paper. I don't think that would leave a residue.

Thanks for this video! I'm curious about what's going on at the bottom of the butterfly. It looks like a purple spill on the left and black water on the right. Is that from the white resin mixing with the lead because you didn't even use purple on the butterfly? Did that happen while it was curing so it couldn't be fixed? Thanks for the help.

Steve, I would like to use this technique to make a "stained glass" house number to go on the inside of the glass transom over my front door so pizza guys can find my house in the dark, the house numbering is mad where I live! Should I use the acetate or the wax paper method & how would you suggest sticking it to the window? Doesn't have to be permanent.
