The trouble I have is that my wife can’t tell me if she wants to get back together or not, but she says see how it goes, so I’m stuck in some limbo land of maybe or maybe not, I just wanna here that she’s willing to work at it

Thank you. I'm looking at a year long seperation because that's the only way we could swing it. I'm scared to death. We have a child. It's been bad, but not anything that we couldn't come back from. Mostly childhood issues making marriage hard as well as other mental issues. Everything else I read/saw was saying it's over. Thank you for this video.

You are very welcome. Anyone that say separation means it's over didn't work for it. I would be lying if I said it wasn't going to be hard. But when you come back from this you can make anything work. I too was separated with children I know it can be scary but you can do it. You just have to remember what's important to you. You can do it!!

Thankyou so very much. Please pray for us as we are seperated for the first time in 15 years. Im praying it Gods will that in God timing we would have total restoration. We really need a maricle. I still love my spouse very much reguardless of what she has done to me and and i forgive her. I only want to be happy in our lives together agian. I dont know where she stands on any of this as there is a no contact order in place due to a poor choice one of us made. I wont say who as God knows who did what. But at the same time as we all know its both of us that did and said wrong things and i am sorry for my part of it. Ive asked God to forgive me and i pray some day my spouse would also forgive me. Thankyou for praying for us and thankyou for your time reading all of this.

My husband and I are going through some things right now and it's hard. We got together basically right after highschool and had a child the following year so really no dating for either of us even with each other. We wanted to make it work and got married 8 years later but it's been rocky from the start. Fast forward 25 years later and I'm just in a place of confusion. We love each other but never really dated and "I" don't think that we are compatible. We are looking at starting counseling soon but I'm just scared that it might not work even with that. I've been a stay at home mom for a long time but now that our second child is about to go to highschool, I'm really working on figuring out a career path for myself and just focusing on me. Just like you said, we get lost in being a wife and mother and don't know who we are and that's what I'm experiencing.

It is really hard. It took my a long time to find my path. With my oldest graduating highschool and leaving the house we have our daughter getting ready to go into highschool. I had to figure out what I wanted to do outside of the family. Just don't rush it take your time. I tried a lot of things until I found what I wanted to do and able to stick with it. As far as you and your husband goes. Go to counseling and see where it leads you. If it determines that you two are not compatible it's not a bad thing. I know you put in a lot of years and you don't want to feel like all that went to waste but it didn't. You two made beautiful children together and you have to look at it that way. Don't automatically go to the negative either. You two are a lot older then when you were in highschool and may be you two need to find each other where you are at now. Me and my husband have know each other for over 20 years and we have changed and we get to know each other everyday. We fall in love with the new version of us and don't hold on to the old version.

Thank you for sharing your story. I've been separated for just over a month and it is very hard. I did find out what were some of the reasons he walked away and plan on working on them. Right now my focus is on myself. I have faith and hope most days that we will recover from this but I also know that it won't happen over night or anytime soon. Consistency is important during this time and going forward. Some days I feel defeated and other days I am OK with it just being me. I do miss him and I know he misses me. Did you guys do any marriage counseling? How long were you separated for?

Thank you for watching!! I completely understand what you are going through Asha. I went through the ups and the downs also. We didn't do marriage counseling because at the time he was done with the marriage and didn't want to go. But there was things I needed to work on so I went to counseling by myself. We were separated for the full year and we did it twice. Our 10th and 11th year of our marriage was really hard.

@@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor thanks for responding, I am currently in therapy and it's been helpful. I don't think my hubby is keen on counseloring either but its good hear that not every couple does it. Working on myself is super important to me. At present I started Journaling which has been awesome to empty my headspace. I have a few other personal development things I'd like to do for self improvement. One of the things that came up was that I have issues with self love and prioritizing myself. This is the perfect time to find me again and love the hell out of me. I lost myself in my relationship/marriage a long time ago. I am glad your marriage in a much healthier place, praying mine will repair itself and be amazing again.

@@MzUnick10 It will. It's funny I was exactly where you are now. My biggest journey was learning to love myself which I still struggle with sometimes. In the beginning of my separation I focused too much on my marriage and as soon as I started focusing on me and started feeling better about me...my husband and I were able to communicate again. We both had blockages and working on ourselves helped. I just did a video 3 days ago about 7 tips to surviving marriage separation. You don't have to watch it if you don't want to. But some of the things you mention I talk about in that video. The one thing that also helped me that I don't mention in the video is reading. I read alot. I hope it helps you. If you need anything else or just someone to listen. I am here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gcWaepuLqNzNkZc.html

@@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor LOL so weird, I started almost immediately focusing on how to fix things and that made things temporarily worst. Its only when I took a step back and begin the work on me did I see some improvement in communication. The finger pointing was driving me crazy. I too started to read as well, I want to work on meditating and restart my weightloss journey. In my heart in know we can do this, but focusing on being the best version of myself is what needs to happen. Will reach out if I have more questions, and I'll look at the video now.

@@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor I watch the video and it has happened. However, we are not in the best place at the moment and I could really use a listening ear and some advice from someone who's been through what am experiencing. It's been so rough lately.

Husband leaning towards divorce and now having a "friend". Not sure if there's hope if he is leaning divorce..is that even possible to reconcile.
@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor
@TashaCurryTheMarriageMentor 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly he could be leaning toward divorce because he feels like he is missing something. With this "friend" it makes it more difficult but not impossible to reconcile. It could as simple as his "friend" listens to him when he speaks and he doesn't feel like you listen to him. During my second separation with my husband he was the one that wanted the divorce and we were able to reconcile. If your husband is willing to speak with you, you just have to find out what he wants and why divorce is the only solution in his mind.
