Southern Shrimp and Creamy Grits. This dish is so full of flavor and Cajun and Creole spices. This dish is simple to make and super delicious. You will love this dish. The grits are so rich and creamy, while the shrimp and sausage is savory. Lets get started.

INGREDIENTS ---- (All can be found in your local grocery)
• 3 oz. Olive Oil
• ½ white onion diced
• 2 cup of smoked Turkey Sausage (or pork, chicken, beef your preference)
• 1 Tbls. Cajun Spice Blend
• 1 Tbls. Creole Seasoning
• 1 tsp. Smoked Paprika
• 1 tsp. Kosher Salt
• 1tsp. Ground Black Pepper
• 1 Medium Tomato diced
• 1lb Shrimp deveined w/ shells removed
• ½ chopped green onion
• 1 Tbls. Fresh Garlic, minced
• 1-1/2 cups Chicken-Broth
For Grits
Follow directions on packaging for serving size for 5
½ cup of milk
½ shredded cheese
½ tsp. Kosher Salt
½ tsp. Ground Pepper
Directions
1. Heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan. Place diced onion in pan and sauté for 2 minutes. Dice sausage and add to pan of onions and sauté. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning, creole seasoning, paprika onto the shrimp and mix well to coat the shrimp in seasoning.
2. Add the shrimp into the sauté pan and continue to cook along with the sausage and onions. Add the garlic into the pan after about 2 minutes and stir about 1 minute before adding chicken broth. Season all of the ingredients with kosher salt, ground black pepper, and a little more Cajun spice if needed.
3. Add the chicken broth and turn the heat up to a medium heat. Add the diced Green onion. Next add the diced tomatoes. Gently stir the ingredients together. Continue to cook until shrimp are done, about an additional 2 minutes.
4. Pour the grits into boiling salted water, and cook until done following package directions. Cooking on a low medium heat and constantly stirring. Once done add the butter, milk and shredded cheese and stir together until creamy, then removed from heat.
5. Place the grits into serving bowls. Spoon the flavorful shrimp, sausage and broth over the grits. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped green onions and shredded cheese. Enjoy!
