I decided to watch making simple slingshot since I have only a few hand tools... and find myself watching a slingshot being made with what looks like several thousand dollars worth of tools.

People use heavy leather or chain mail hand protectors on the slingshot hand. You can easily have a bad accident impaling yourself. The hands are precious!

Man l would be using a deeper v in the slingshot, looks a bit close for comfort , works great though.

Simple but uses 50 diff tools to make whats simple about that i made same thing with a pencil saw file and sand paper.

Чувак явно не в курсе, что этот дротик может и назад полететь! Даже в детстве бывало, что камень в рогатке не вылетает по курсу, а возвращается назад и это очень больно! А с таким дротиком шанс ещё больше увеличивается т.к. его резинка не толкает по направляющей, а тянет и шанс того, что дротик вернётся в "стрелка" только увеличивается!

That's cool and all but I can see this ending terribly if the epoxy cracks or breaks upon impact and then doesn't hold on the next shot

Amazing work, just a couple things I wanted to mention you need to buy a lathe, even a tiny watch makers one would serve you better than a droll and Dremel tool. Also, I really would have integrated a hand guard into that until you get proper shooting form down pat, would suck to get one of those through the back of your hand, insult to injury if it went though and stapled you to the slingshot. Loverly work!

Why not make the two ends of the wood further away from your hand so you won't send a rod through your wrist????

Видно,что человек не имел дела со стрельбой из рогаток!!! и не изучал мат.часть!. Для рогаток подобного уровня(дротик/стрела)обязательно нужна направляющая!!! ибо рогатка имеет свойство возвращать обратно "пулю".Неправильно выставил угол,и жгут не толкает,а создаёт колебательное движение,проварачиваясь... в лучшем случае когда стрела развернувшись,вонзится в руку,которой держишь древко(рукоять)...в худшем...сами представьте исход!!!. По-этому,повторюсь... всё,что стреляет дротиком/стрелой,должно быть с направляющими...тогда точно обезопасим себя,от проворота тетивы(жгута) и возврата "пули" P.S За изделие и руки-Лайк!!!.
