Your right by the way. Us humans tend to get upset when we see people eating animals that we think of as of pets etc. Honestly while I'd enjoy having a friendly pet cow I'm not going to stop eating beef. I just won't eat that cow. Not that I'm likely to get a cow. Plus when I see cows in the field I tend to blurt out "Hamburgers!". They are pretty to see though.

I just finished a pint of snapper soup from the Kopper kettle in Bucks County. I love Snapper soup and it is getting so hard to find. When I was a kid I used to catch snappers and sell them to a local bar in Philadelphia. I know the cheap sob always cheated me out of money. Now let's get to one thing that he said. That Snapper soup is from South Jersey. It's not it's a Philadelphia soup that was very popular years ago. So of course it was available in the Philadelphia area which includes South Jersey. So many people from me Philadelphia area moved to South Jersey over the last 60 or so years. So of course they eat it there also . Snapper soup is almost an acquired taste. It's different and I never heard anyone say it's okay. You either love it or you don't. I have two more pints in the freezer. Yum

Its just the nerves, thats normal for many animals to do that well after death. After brain death (meaning the animal is dead), many of the nerve cells throughout the body are still alive and will react to certain stimuli or just fire off randomly. Anyone who goes fishing or hunting (which everybody who eats meat should experience) will tell you that this type of thing is normal.
