Daniel shows you how to make stir-fried Odeng! This is a very popular Korean banchan that is served throughout kitchens in Korea - from school cafeterias to corporate office kitchens. I think it's because of how easy it is to make! Odeng is borrowed from the Japanese word 'Oden'. And Adding the "g" makes it much more fun to pronounce - oh dang! Enjoy at home ;)

Now that made my mouth water. I love fish cake. I never saw it in that form before. I'm going to venture to the Korean Market tomorrow to find some. Yesterday at my poke market I saw fish cake poke for the first time using the common Japanese pink and brown fish cakes and it was so onolicous. I will try to get the recipe from them.

I'm going to be honest. I never liked Korean food I kept going to places that just didn't offer good food. I finally found two in my neighborhood. Now I'm addicted to Korean stews. I have also lost 8 pounds eating only Korean food. The banchan I'd rather just eat by itself nothing else. Thank you for showing me the good side of Korean food.

This looks delicious and so easy to make are you kidding me? I have never seen the thin fish cake that you have here, and I will look for it. However, it will not stop me from making this recipe as I can use the thicker fish cake that is available, and then cut it thin.

This "sheet" type is the cheapest and most common! In Korean markets it's often promotional, there will be one brand discounted that is. It keeps well, so if you have to buy a kilo or so to get the discount it's OK. I have seen this in American markets that had some Asian groceries.
