As a Makkan... Thareed is a lot simpler and tastier. Bread has to be flatter..onions chopped and sauteed before the meat.. and no pines or nuts. There is no squash in thareed..The Prophet pbuh liked Qar3 (Pumpkin) to eat whether in stews or on its own. Things were truly much more simpler than today.

Jazaki Allahu Khayrun. If we want to adhere strictly to the sunnah of Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam, then use barley bread in the threed. He salallahu alayhi wasallam also told us not to remove the bran from the flour. His bread was course. Not sift and fluffy. That’s why soaking it in the gravy softens it. But if you do use wheat flour, use wholemeal. Can’t beat barley but whole meal flour is better than refined flour.
@mervekirmizi2992
@mervekirmizi2992 2 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken. This recipe is some other version. Im pretty sure Pumpkin was not known to Arabia during that time. The Thareed that was consumed during the Prophet (saw) lifetime was most likely a plain salted meat broth with meat and bread (similar to the Turkish version - but they add yoghurt to it). I grew up eating it. it's so yummy. My mum used to cook down beef with a little water until the meat got soft and released its juices (she added more water if she needed to) added salt, black pepper and poured the meat over bread and added garlic yoghurt. Yum ! so nostalgic.

Actually pumpkin was one of the Prophet favorite vegetables (Anas b. Malik reported that a person invited Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to a meal. I also went along with him. He brought soup containing pumpkin. Allah's 'messenger (ﷺ) ate that pumpkin with relish. He (Anas) said: When I saw that I began to place it before him, and did not eat it (myself). Anas said: It was since then that pumpkin was always my favourite (food)There has been an addition to this that Thabit said: I heard Anas saying that any meal that was prepared for me after that I tried that it should contain pumpkin .) Sahih Muslim 2041b When my grandmother used to cook pumpkin she would say the prophet (ملاح ) goes from the stomach right to the heart

@@user-bq4jr5dn5b I don't think it's the same pumpkin we eat today or the one shown in the video. It's very likely some type of Melon from the surrounding regions. The reason I say this is because the Pumpkin we eat today was introduced from the America's in the last 4-500 years to the rest of the world. My guess would be (I'm a passionate gardener btw) is that it MAY and possibly could be the wax gourd but Allahu Allem, it's used widely in Asia in sweets, as medicine AND in soups (which is what makes me suspect this might be it) but Allah knows best. I don't believe it is today's pumpkin, there's no specifics in the hadith as well and the hadith is a translation, usually when a new food that resembles a known one appears, many cultures name it from what they already know. This is possible.

@@salehalmutawaa8070 Why don't you just rinse your mouth after eating them Raw onions and garlic are essential in some dishes and come with health benefits Also you don't have to cook the nutrients out of your garlic to take away the unpleasant smell Just use fresh young garlic or roast the cloves on a grill or in oil in the oven
@salehalmutawaa8070
@salehalmutawaa8070 Жыл бұрын
@Froggy 6869 Because a) it's against the Sunna, b) there are many other sources of nutrients that provide the same health benefits or better without the smell, and c) the bad smell of onion and garlic comes from within the stomach; in other words, there is no amount of mouth rinsing or brushing that is enough to get the smell out because it's not from the mouth. As far as I know I don't think young garlic makes a difference with the smell. As for cooking or roasting, it doesn't matter how you cook it as long as you cook it or roast it to the point where it emits no more smell. If you still plan to eat it raw after all of that just make sure you don't attend mosque that day.

The only difference is to make the broth, you just boil the meat first and everything else later. It’s normally served with injera. It’s usually given to the sick because it’s like a warm soup, it helps with the cold and flu. My mum always makes it for me whenever I’m sick or if it’s a cold day and I was at school all day. It also helps with COVID. May Allah bless my mother, whenever I eat it, it just reminds me how much my mother lives and cares for me, and how much I love and care for her.
