My secret recipe for Bubble Cream bath bomb frosting is finally here! This recipe uses 5 ingredients. Most of which can be found at the grocery store.
It can be made using a "KitchenAid" tabletop mixer or a hand-mixer. The recipe comes together very quickly, so I recommend watching the video first ,
writing down the recipe... then trying it again.
This recipe is so easy and so quick anyone can do it, but it makes the creamiest whip to work with then dries rock hard in a 2-4 days (depending on the humidity). This recipe can be used to make bath bomb cupcakes non edible sweet treats bath a roons meringues & so much more!
So get your pen and paper ready because I share my top secret recipe in the video.
What you will need:
- Hand-mixer or bench mixer "KitchenAid style"
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups & Spoon
* Tablespoon
* Teaspoon
* 1 Cup -measuring cup
- Sifting screen -it isn't necessary (but it helps to get out lumps)
- A Spoon or spatula to remove the Icing
- A piping bag (if you are planning to pipe the frosting)
* piping tip is optional
Exact Recipe is in the video
Ingredients:
- Baking Soda (Soda Bi Carb)
- Kaolin Clay (White)
- Cream of Tartar (NOT TARTARIC ACID-this will mess up the batch)
- Arrowroot Powder ( If you don't want to use this, it can be replaced with Cream of tartar
- Coco B. (cocamidopropyl betaine) made from coconuts
This is the surfactant and helps make the icing
I used Mica, but you can use a couple drops of gel food coloring
if you don't have Mica.
Good luck!! Please let me know how it turned out.
Any questions, please email me at: EdenStreetSoap@Gmail.com
Where to buy the ingredients:
*Cream of tartar, *Gel food coloring, *Arrowroot and *Baking soda can be found at any food store
*Cocamidopropyl betaine:
www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com...
*Mica:

This is a very popular recipe you can google and find easily. It is a reliable frosting that hardens up very quickly able to ship the next day! Quick easy and cheap! You can also mold the frosting use cookie cutters on it.. you can paint it add glitter etc..but it wont stay pliable it will harden, but for a while its pliable and you can make shapes out of it for noses on animals etc.. Great frosting and great for shipping!

The clay is what makes it dry solid and hard without having to use a lot of cream of tartar. You can substitute with another type of clay no problem. Cornstarch works too, but you'll have to add more cream of tartar for the recipe to harden properly. You can leave it out completely, but it

@EdenStreetSoapCo
@EdenStreetSoapCo 2 жыл бұрын
Titanium dioxide is a great colorant, but isn't a good replacement for the clay because it will clump up the batter.Also the clay's purpose is to help harden the icing without using a bunch of cream of tartar. I would remove the clay and double the CoT. Hope this helps. -Jessie

Hi, how much coco b did you use altogether, I’m a little confused lol x
@EdenStreetSoapCo
@EdenStreetSoapCo 2 жыл бұрын
Not an issue. It's a total of 5 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons. It's set up this way because you add the tbsp in one by one and watch as it mixes. You might not need the teaspoons of coco b if it's really humid where you are making it So total recipe is: 2 cups of Baking soda 2 tbsp white kaolin clay 1 tbsp arrowroot powder 1 tbsp cream of tartar 5 tbsp + 2 tsp of coco betaine (Don't add all the liquid in at the same time....you might not need additional teaspoons.)

@EdenStreetSoapCo
@EdenStreetSoapCo 2 жыл бұрын
Kaolin Clay and Cream of tartar are what makes the icing dry rock hard. If you're in a humid area (over about 40%) you'll have to make a few changes. For example: add an extra teaspoon of cream of tartar and cut back a small amount of coco b. Let them dry for about 48 hours. Sometimes when it's really humid here in Philadelphia (like tonight, we are at 91% humidity) I will let my bubble cream dry for a few hours....then when I can pick them up... I will place them on a tray with a few desiccant packets then cover the tray with a clean plastic bag. Let it dry overnight. Desiccant is made of silica gel. It's safe to use around natural products. You can buy them on amazon. They really help. Finally, You can use a dehumidifier to help regulate the humidity in your home or shop. I have a commercial one, but I've found it's easier to avoid making anything that has baking soda in it until the humidity is down. Hope that helps you out.

@EdenStreetSoapCo

The bubbles from the frosting are great because of the coco betaine, but the bubbles are amazing and will "wow" you, when I make the bubble bath tarts ( the next video coming out) They are a double layer donut bath bomb with frosting on top and between the layers. I do the bubble cream recipe a little differently with that one. So keep an eye out.

Can I use cornstarch instead of cream of tartar?
@EdenStreetSoapCo
@EdenStreetSoapCo 2 жыл бұрын
I know cream of tartar can be tricky to find and it's really expensive in small quantity , but that one really helps harden the bubble cream. I played around with different recipes earlier on in my career and cream of tartar can be cut down, but it's really hard to replace. I've replaced Kaolin clay with cornstarch and that gives a fluffier cream that doesn't dry as hard. I hope this helps you out. Due to popular demand, I will be doing a future video where I make and test different recipes for bubble cream icing very soon. Trying out dish soap, no cream of tartar and stuff like that.... So keep an eye out for that video, it may help answer your questions.
