Ingredients:
✓ 500 grams of all-purpose wheat flour, which is equal to 4 cups of wheat flour.
✓ 01 teaspoon salt
✓ 250 ml of very hot water
✓ 50 ML of edible vegetable oil.
Preparation:
In a bowl or on a smooth surface, place the sifted flour with the salt, make a well in the center and add the oil, mix well with a paddle or fork, then add the very hot water when you can no longer continue kneading. With the paddle we begin to knead with the tips of our fingers and little by little we incorporate all the ingredients.
You have to knead vigorously, we stop when we obtain a compact and soft dough. Let it rest, covered with a cloth, for 30 minutes, then spread the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin until it is 1 to 2 millimeters thick and with a cutter, cut out circles of about 10 cm in diameter. .- With a spoon, add the desired filling (I used shredded meat and cheese) over the center of the circle and join both ends. If you want to make a cake, place another lid covering the filling and then proceed to seal the edges with a fork. .
In a cauldron or frying pan, put enough oil to heat, and without being too hot, put the pastries to fry or empanakditas, (If you want to make them baked, you should paint them with beaten egg to obtain a nice color when baking, bake at 175ºC. until golden brown) When the cakes brown on both sides, remove from heat and let drain.
