A real use case would be to watch a tutorial on youtube (on the screen pad) and follow along by actually doing what you are learning about on the main screen. The suggested use cases in the above video are gimmicky.

The solution I found to get all kind of apps pinned on the screen pad 2.0 : 1- Launch the app on your desktop screen 2- Drag the window down to the screen pad : the window will now be on the screenpad 3- Now touch the bottom of the screenpad to make the little toolbar appear 4- Click on the 2 windows (right to the home button) 5- Drag the app to the right box (which has the thumbtack) 6- The app is now pinned to the screenpad :)

I don't know what you're looking at but on my new 2022 asus zenbook, I can hardly ever get the toolbar to appear and when it does, it does not have a 2 windows icon or a home button. Maybe something stopped working with Windows 11 but this is a total pain.

Please, make more apps for it! Notes, sticky notes! Of course I can open a notepad on the screenpad, but it would be much more convenient to swipe pages on the screenpad to switch between main screen and notes or even several screens with notes.

How to drag window to screen pad? How to turn on that app switch? I dont know how to do it ? I dont have that app switch icon on the main screen when trying to drag it... Help pls? And can i drag any window to screen pad

I am shocked Samsung didn't think of something like this first for their laptops (multitasking on Sammy's phones and tablets are excellent imo) . Even the idea of "extending" the main screen into the keyboard like the Zenbook Pro Duo 🤔

Just got mine. It definitely takes some getting use too. I'm not sure the need is there to warrant this but i do have to play around with it some more.

@@ricksande2210 honestly I just use it as a trackpad now. I haven't thought of a good use for the second screen plus the battery isn't the best so I figured keeping it off will make the batter last longer. I kinda got over it after getting the basics down. Let me know if it's working out better for you because I still would want a killer App for it

yes the screen pad 2.0 is now available on older devices i have a ux480 a zenbook from 2018 and have managed to get screen pad 2.0 on it using My Asus

That was possible with the screenpad 1.0 Basically I need to watch my screenpad and work on the main screen at the same time. When I tap with 3 fingers, I can't see what's happening on the screenpad

I am from the Netherlands and I don't have access to the Screenpad 2.0 software. Is this locked for everyone in the Netherlands or the EU? I can't get the software for even the basic things like the calendar or the weather app, also not the Spotify player. Can anyone help me?

@@chunkylefunga Thanks for your reply 1 year later :D I still can't find it anywhere in the Microsoft store. It shows up in MyAsus store, but when i click on the software it opens the Microsoft store and it just searched "calendar" or "message" apps. Not giving me the Asus software :(

Its possible on my zenbook 15, becasue the screenpad also works as a second display, you can pull any application down to it. Downside is the fact that its just a very small display. The desktop version of Facebook would probably be unreadable.

I just updated to the screenpad 2.0 and I am unable to watch a video on the screenpad for example, while still using the trackpad on the main screen. Once I switch a window on the screenpad, my cursor disappears on the main screen. Can someone please help me?

Is it online video? Which browser are you using? I found that Mozilla Firefox is the worst browser for screenpad. It does not scale correctly, is flickering and many other issues. However, Opera browser works very well. Hope it helps.

@@rutous9031 Apparently this is normal. The solution I found is to use an external mouse. That is very very practical as it allows to really use both as two separate screens at the same time and it makes the screenpad even easier to use

@@clarissekanama3822 Did you ever find a solution for this other than using an external mouse? As that's also what I'm doing myself now. If I'm watching a video on the screenpad but want to use the mouse mode it dims the video and has that white outline around the screenpad, which obviously makes the video a lot harder to see. The only way around this like you said is to use an external mouse.

Yes I have one and you can turn it off whenever you want, its actually just a second screen, you can duplicate and even only use the second screen so the main big screen is off

Let's be honest. This is a gimmick. I have the Asus UX534FT, and I love its specs, keyboard and screen. However, the screenpad isn't even working properly. It's terribly unfriendly.
