This is a very simple tutorial on how to make thin lubricant for yoyo bearings or really any other bearing. This will make it play nice and unresponsive but wont be dry and loud. This cleans your bearings as well. If you are into fidget spinners this thin lube will work just as good in your fidget spinner. I think this is the best fidget spinner lube as well as the best yoyo lube. On your fidget spinners will basically double your spin time as proved in my 5 Below fidget spinner video. Please drop a like and leave a comment thanks for watching you guys rock.

I FOUND A GREAT SUBSTITUTE!! I couldn't get my hand in any of the products that were mentioned in the video, so i did some experiment. I have a cheap responsive yoyo which spun for about 18-20 secs, the string of the yoyo keeps vibrating the whole time it spins. SO... I dipped a q-tip into a baby oil (2 drops)and rubbed it all over the yoyo bearings. [This brought down the spin time from about 20 secs to about 6 secs]. AND THEN... I put 5-6 drops of Zippo lighter fluids all over the bearing and let it sit for about a minute. Then i spin the bearings while blowing it dry. THATS IT. Now my yoyo spins for about 35 secs[average] which is great considering that it costs 1 dollar, and the string never vibrates again except for the short vibration which comes from the throw itself. Hope it helps someone. GIVE IT A LIKE IF IT HELPS.

super sweet, I am going to start implementing this soon. I especially like this for bearing storage. I had been meaning to get a few spare bearings from upgrading others, but I was worried about storing them outside of a yoyo, where I could not play them as you say a better way to keep them from rusting. I would like to ask is the solvent strong enough to remove rust? I have a couple old yoyojam C bearings that have rust marks from their strings. Nothing major, but just curious if leaving them in that solution would help with that. (I have other means......muahahahaha)

This is a great recipe. However, I have had very good results by cleaning bearings that have debris in them with the following. Use a similar pill container, similar to the one that Dylan uses here, and approximately half fill the container with Acetone. ** Be careful with acetone on your skin, it really isn't good!! ** Then put your bearing in there and leave it to soak for a few minutes to an hour. Shake the container to make sure any debris in the bearing is flushed out. Have some kitchen paper ready on your work surface. I hook the bearing out of the container with a long thin pen, pencil or paintbrush handle - something like. Put the bearing on the kitchen paper and you'll see the acetone instantly being absorbed. Then, spin the bearing and blow through it to get out any remaining acetone. Then put a drop or two of lube into the bearing. Give it few spins and add more if necessary. I would avoid cleaning old bearings in your newly concocted oil mixture. Any debris that comes out of them, is now in your oil mixture. This may be reintroduced into another bearing later - not good. Like your face, you should keep your oil completely clean! Hope this helps! Take care and Thanks for your brilliant videos Dylan! :-)

@diorsawaaj
@diorsawaaj 4 жыл бұрын
Anonymous That plastic bearing you are referring to is called a transaxle. You can clean the transaxle with some soap and water, and add some Vaseline or thick yoyo lube to the axle where the plastic transaxle sits. Keep in mind that cleaning the transaxle like that is for transaxles only. Once you get a ball bearing yoyo, you want to clean it in pure mineral spirits only in a glass container.

mineral spirits evaporate, so if you're paranoid about this then you can let your bearing sit outside of the rest of the yoyo until all of the mineral spirits have evaporated away, just leaving the very small amount of oil behind, at least i'm pretty sure that's how that would work.
