Watched the video last night, finished making one this afternoon. Very happy. I changed the pipe insulation to a piece of HD foam mat that won’t shrink etc and it now has even better vacuum pressure. Cost $14 to make and less than an hour of my time. Awesome content! Thank you!

Mean!!! You did a great job my friend, very cool! I'm keen as to try this. I loathe using our current one, awkward to empty and the nozzle is too wide for what I want to suck out, this now opens up some options so I really appreciate you sharing this 👍🤙

electrical tape and water never mix , ever. use a pipe plug / test plug instead and increase the size of your outerpipe to 3" , it will create allot more suction , 1 " suction tip with a screw trough the tip to prevent bigger rock , and you got Crevice Sucker 10000

Great video mate thanks for showing us how to make that sucker I've always wanted one for finding gold, but yabby pumps here in Aussie are so expensive, now I can make my own for half the price, I'm a North Islander from the Bay Of Plenty. Greetings from Sydney mate love your videos.

I'd like to know what rivers in the North Island that your allowed to prospect for gold. I was under the belief that only a few rivers in the South Island were legal for the public to hunt for gold. Travelling to the given areas will help protect your country's wildlife and give future generations more than any gold ya find... Please be careful

One small change that could maybe work, instead of the foam, you could you a big rubber o-ring maybe. Save you having to carry around extra foam and will last a long time.
@KiwiGoldHunter

Thats not a bad idea at all brother, I did have an old build that used somthing simillar as you metioned but just found these parts easier to find and replace 😁 ill have to find a picture of what I was using. @KiwiGoldHunter 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah these can be modified quite easily to be similar style of pump.. I know they have somthing similar called a yabby pump. Might even try to make my own one of them as it spits the goods straight out the side catching nearly everything 😁🤙🔥⛏🤪
@PaulyDDownunder
@PaulyDDownunder Жыл бұрын
Definitely a Yabby 🦞 pump. We use them in Australia. Yabby’s are used for bait. They live in the sand and the yabby pumps is plunged into the sand over the entrance hole, pulling the handle brings the sand, water and yabby all in one go lol. Then you just dump it into a bucket. Best free live bait ever.

Don't forget to return to these holes after the next big storm because gold will have washed down from up stream, so always go back to check them out after a good drop of rain has flooded the river.
