*The hemp fabrics are recyclable & made to last, it is the oldest known fabric ever to be found. They come in a beautiful natural colour - so if you wanted the fabric dye you can get a machine washable dye! Eco sustainability from a plant that looks after the planet.
Instructions:
Making the linen
Cut around your two circles of 24 cm diameter and put them to the side. Measure 62 cm length * 78 cm width of your bolster body rectangle and cut out a rectangle. Fold the rectangle in half and pin along the fold (always leave 1 cm per side of seam allowance). Sew down the length of your bolster rectangle.
The next step is to sew the ends of your bolster on. Pin and sew one of the circles to the end of your bolster rectangle, leaving 1 cm seam allowance. Do the same thing for the other end of the bolster but don’t sew all the way around, leave a 5-10 cm opening so you can get the stuffing inside. Once you have sewn both ends on turn the bolster the right way out by feeding it through the small hole you left for the stuffing. Insert your buckwheat hulls through the hole. Once your bolster is stuffed, hand stitch the hole and that's it! You can now start working on the bolster cover!
Making the bolster cover
Again, Cut around your two circles of 24 cm diameter and put them to the side. Measure 62 cm length * 78 cm width of your bolster body rectangle and cut out a rectangle. Fold the rectangle in half and pin along a 60 cm zipper on the edges on your rectangle in its closed position. The right face of the zipper will face the right face of the fabric. Sew down the length of your zipper. Now, pin and sew both circles to the end of your bolster cover, leaving 1 cm seam allowance. Turn the cover inside out and insert the bolster in.
That's your bolster completed! Enjoy your practice!
