How to Measure Objects in Blender!

2 жыл бұрынToday I'm going to talk about how to measure in blender. There are really only two main ways to measure in blender, either with the overlays or with the measuring ruler. The measuring ruler also has some nice hidden shortcuts.

lol so another outdated video, where this tool either moved or no longer exists? Dragon 3d, add an update link to whats up . at least in fusion 360 you can turn on the ruler in displays

It's now the Edit Mode Viewport Overlays which is right next to the orriginal viewport overlays. I'm pretty sure everything else is the same though.

@@Dragon3D I ended up. putting cross tape on my screen, to move a few holes just 1mm. thanks for responding. Shows you are still active on youtube.

@@Dragon3D But it is a big issue with blender for me. I tend to stuck to same version for long time simply because they move everything each version. It's frustrating

Sorry but...this menu does not exist...oh wait.... they changed their layout for no reason and now it's separated....god I hate blender

@@alexbarra Onthe right side of the vewport overlays buton (the old emplacement) , the icon that is like a square with 4 small squares around (mesh edit mode overlays)

I recommend you spend a tad more time on showing the steps. Just because you know something or think something is obvious doesnt mean everyone will.

It is, I had a problem where I couldn't 3d print something and had to measure it but the measuring tool was going under the floor(for some reason???) Instead of on the object
