How to mend zipper on a bag without hastle?
If you have a a bag, backpack, jeans or a fleese with a broken zipper, even if you think they're beyond repair, don’t get rid of them just yet. Mending a zipper is easy and usually successful. With a little bit of guidance and some basic sewing skills you might be able to fix the zipper in just a few minutes, it's not a time consuming job at all. Give it a try before your favourite bag or a piece of garnment lands in the bin.

Thank you so much for sharing! I was able to fix the zipper on my makeup bag by following your video tutorial. 😚 After putting the bag in the washing machine, the zipper became a bit loose. Since I didn't have the specific tool you used, I attempted to fix it by applying some manual pressure with my hands. Surprisingly, it worked like a charm! So glad that I came across your video and learnt the mechanism behind how zipper works :)

Да, на первых порах можно так поджимать замочек, но это означает, что он уже стал разжиматься и будет продолжать это, значит в дальнейшем предстоит замена бегунка

The usual story, when the two sides of the zipper no longer close, everyone thinks it's the fault of the teeth or hooks (I don't know how to say it in English) but instead it's the fault of the slider, just widen it by half a millimeter and the teeth become misaligned and they no longer mate with each other. Beautiful and useful video, thanks!! 😄

Awesome. Great explanation as to why it happens. Instead of taking the zipper off, I squashed each sides with pliers in situ and it worked again. Might have to plier it more often, but seems like it did the job.

I have never had to remove the zipper in order to fix it. I use pliers to set the correct gap while the zipper is in place. Works every time.

Хотелось бы предостеречь: бывает, что эти замочки на молнии изготовлены из какого-то хрупкого сплава на основе цинка. Так что в процессе надо быть очень осторожными, чтобы не сломать.

Никогда так не делайте! Это лет 10-15 назад бегунки ещё были металлическими, а теперь это сплав, который прослужит недолго по любому, даже новый, а если его тискать, то это ещё проживет день, ну два, не больше. А то и сразу сломаете, когда сжимать будете. Только менять бегунок на новый. Теперь зажимание не будет работать никогда! Уже смиритесь! Теперь это дер...о, а не металл!...И покупайте только специальный бегунок для вида молнии, особенно металлической. Это важно.

После того,как поджимаешь бегунок с боков,можно, не вынимая его из молнии и не распарывая ничего ,просто механически маленькими щипчиками вставить несходящиесязубчики друг в друга и так же прошить самое начало одним стежком,чтобы не разбегалась молния. И ВСЁ!

Es mejor cambiar el pin por otro nuevo pin ya que el ajustar el pin usado con el alicate se malogra al poco tiempo ,otra opción sería cambiar el cierre en el cual hay mas garantía de duración.
