Haha Thank you for the remembering technique! Dude also thanks for the heads up on the new rally! The car looks sick!! With drifting it's about finding the right surface! You will get it. I suggest modifying as you go. The new suspension will help you find more grip. The Zee battery is the best mod. Oh ya, and the car is probably going to come with the front toe-in. In the box, it should have extra toe links. They don't look different but I assure you they are and if you swap they will give the perfect toe out.

@@outerzonerc777 sweet dude thanks for the extra tips, the newer car should come with extra drift tyres and those links. I'll definitely get the hang of drifting eventually haha, I thought there might be more metal parts like gears ect but time will tell.

I know they make a upgraded metal diff. But I have not blown up the plastic ones yet, not even with the brushless one on rubber tires knock on wood haha.

What type of servo fit these cars ?

I have the same setup and its seems like im limited by the gearing. I get 37mph consistently on 3s with a 2435 4500kv. What gearing are you running?

With a 60A esc

I actually did some re-runs and consistently got 43-45 mph. I’m running the stock gearing that came with the car. Maybe it’s my battery. I have a 2300 mah 3s lipo battery. What battery are you using?

Hey Jeremy, what problem are you addressing? What do you mean? Can you give a little more context?

@@outerzonerc777 so when you heat up a gear it get just a little bigger so something you don't have to drill it out. So heat up just the gear not the shaft it can work better than a set screw sometime.

I noticed the motor got hot and I put a hot racing fan in front of it. Now it's super cold. As for the ESC I probably have 10 runs on this set up and I did have a esc issue. My throttle was sticking on. Not good for drifting haha. It would stay on for like a second and go back to normal. I just tossed the esc off my sons car as I wait for the 2 spares I ordered to come. I will let you know if this one has issues. Also I'll put a quick video of how I set up the fan.

Update: The stock esc seems to handle the dynamite 25t motor and the better traxxas 380 motor just fine. The only issue I have had is if I go over 60 feet away the car starts to loose some reception and throttle can stick a little until you walk closer. Other then that it's been going strong. Again I suggest the traxxas 380 motor now over the 25t, the traxxas 380 makes better power and does not get as hot.

Yea man I was bummed that the steering went too far also, there is 3 options, #1 get a different set that has the metal stopper, #2 on run the top A arms metal or #3 what I did, make adjustable toe links that you can add a little more toe out with, this will make the toe link just short enough to keep the steering from getting stuck. No, you need to get either the stock brushed ESC or you need a new ESC and transmitter receiver combo. I suggest getting a hobbywing quicrun 1625 for the ESC and a dumborc transmitter receiver combo. This will change the whole car. Or you can just buy a brushed sg1603 stock ESC for like $16 and and traxxas 380 motor. Upgrading to a lipo battery with any setup will help a lot too. You need to make sure the motor you get has the same size 2.3mm shaft. The 18t traxxas 380 shaft is the same. You will need to use your stock gear/ pinion. If you change just the motor on these cars for some reason you tend to loose a good bit of distance on your transmitter. You may find when you get over 50 feet away the car starts acting up. I would suggest the hobbywing 1625 brushed esc with the traxxas 380 18t. It will be a monster and fit nice. To complete the esc upgrade you will need a new transmitter, receiver and servo.
