Good tutorial but I changed the subdivision axis to 80 on the initial ring as I was getting some pretty wack results when smoothing.

At 2:04 why do only my 2 outer lines move, but the actual hole doesn't widen? And the 3 inner lines don't move at all

I am not getting the same results from doing the exact same thing when extruding the outside of the tire and setting the thickness to 0.3 and the offset to 0.05. :\ no idea why. everything is setup right. I am using Maya 2020. And yes the keep faces together is turned off.
