In this video I'll show you how to mount and dismount a truck tire by hand in 10 minutes.
First things first, be very careful when you inflate a tire truck. There is a serious possibility that the tire might explode so use as many safety measures as possible. In this video the tire is deflated before dismounting and after mounting I'll inflate it just a bit for the purpose of the video.
Step 1:
Remove the valve core. After the tire is flat I put it laying down.
Step 2: Bead Breaking (separating tire from rim)
Position the rim with valve stem on top. Take one pry bar for leverage and drive the second one between bead and lip of rim. This will loosen the bead from the rim. Flip the tire and repeat the procedure on the other side.
Step 3:
After both beads are removed from bead seat area, lubricate tire bead and bead seat area with a suitable lubricant.
Step 4:
Removing Tire from Rim
Insert pry bar under the bead at the top of the rim and pry bead over lip of rim. Keep pry bars close together. This is done to make prying easier and help prevent bead damage.
After part of bead is over rim flange, hold pry bar in place and remove the other bar to pry next portion of bead over rim. Do not pry too large a portion at once, it will be hard to pry and may tear the bead. Work your way around the rim until the outside bead of the tire is completely over the rim.
Step 5
Once the tire is removed from the rim, clean rim thoroughly
Next take the new tire lubricate it and prepare for mounting..
Step 6: Put the tire on the rim using your body weight
Step 7: Mount tire using a similar technique as shown in Step 4
Step 8: install valve core
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
From my garage I'll show you how to repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including maintenance, air brakes, tires, driveline, steering and suspension, and overhaul and engine rebuilds.
I will also be posting videos where:
-You will see how I resolve truck and trailer related issues, steering, transmission, rear end etc.
-I'll repair components such as doors, floors and side panels.
-I perform general or routine welding.

I must have the world's worst tire because I have tried several ways to break the bead and it just won't break. I drove over the tire with my truck and the bead did not break. I placed a piece of wood as a ramp and drove the truck onto the ramp and the bead still did not break. I tried using tie down straps and the strap broke. These videos can be miss leading because there are some tires that it is easy to break the bead. When you have a tire and rim that has been sitting outside exposed to the elements the bead seems like it is much harder to seperate.

In true Blue Peter style: 'now this is one I prepared earlier..' LOL. But you are correct in showing the procedur - just that in m y experience - whether I did the job myself or for instruction "on the day" or taken to a tireshop..... there's an element of frothy language and flying spinning tools and , let's just not get into all that.... But as anoother comenter says - you get a good wrokout on a hot day - isn't that when most such jobs occur? - or middle of hard winter when fingers want to disppear inside warm gloves.. Cheers & thanks for showing

My record for a truck tyre removed and replaced with new tyre is 1.58. yes, 1 minute 58 seconds.. quickest way to do it, leave the wheel on the truck but have it couple inches off the ground, less pressure with yourself when getting it off as all the pressure is on the truck wheel and not against you. This video took too long, I want my view back 😂😂.. but at least he done a good job and the trye won't blow up or come off..
