How To Move On After Divorce For A Man | Divorced Men | Mens Divorce Tips
Movies often portray divorced guys living it up and enjoying the freedom they’ve always wanted. In reality, this stereotype can be far from the truth. Men often experience the most devastating losses from divorce, without knowing ways to cope.
Men are nearly twice as likely to develop major depression after divorce than women, and the suicide rate of divorced men is nearly twice that of married men. Society’s stigma on men seeking mental health help only worsens this concerning problem.
So with men often losing their children, friends, reputations, and homes after divorce, is there anything they can do to feel like themselves again?
Welcome you to G-Man KZfaq channel.
What is a G-Man? A G-Man is a ‘Greater’ version of you.
Now what does the letter ‘G’ stand for? The ‘G’ can stand for many things, such as:-
- Greatness
- Gentleman
- Giving
- Growing
- Grounded
- Genuine
- Glamorous
- Gorgeous
G-Man is all about thriving after your separation and moving forward with the new stage in your life! Separation or divorce is an opportunity to go through metamorphosis, much like how the caterpillar turns in the butterfly. It is an incredible opportunity.

I am currently going through this now at 57yo, after my divorce was finalized on May 15th of this year and I am fighting the feelings of being angry, frustrated, depressed, failure, having no confidence, inadequacy and moments of even shutting down. But the thing which has helped me the passed several months, especially most recently after my ex-wife moved out is trying to not be lonely, but turning it into “Me Time” like you said here and enjoying my own company. I even bought a 7 piece drum set as my stress releaser and also started working out once again. So, I am looking forward to getting myself back on track with my life and being the best version of myself.

@@user-gl3vr5vm9r It does get better like so many say, but sometimes it’s hard to it in front of you. But, I am also here to reporting that I am doing a whole lot better now. I was PROMOTED in my job with a lot more pay. I am loving that more good things are happening for me now. I am free to come and go as I want and when I want. I have a peace that I’ve never known or experienced before and I am just loving this time. I am now divorced and just taking in this new fresh air of life. I am still not interested in relationships though, so I am not ready to date anyone yet, because everything I see is not good and most of these women nowadays are only looking for someone to financially rescue them and I am not in the mood to rescue no one. However, I do make a point of going out with friends once or twice a week. So, I try not to be secluded at home. My job takes a lot of time out my life, but It’s actually really good for me. In fact, I am currently even looking for my next out of the country experience. Somewhere, I can go for a nice vacation. What really helped me was going cold contact with her. I just didn’t want to continue in her outlandish demands and drama! By the time she asked me for the divorce I was actually already done with her nonsense! So hang in there and stay positive. A matter fact make a list of goals and accomplishments you would like for yourself and focus on them one at a time and in a year or two you will be surprised of what you were able to achieve. We men are movers and shakers on this world 🌎 and no woman can put a stop to that! She didn’t that’s for sure.

Women have no idea how much some men invest themselves into their marriages especially if they have kids. Sometimes our whole being is in the marriage. Men get into a support group like this man says.

@@Kauwa808but I will tell you this, loss is an inevitable thing, I hate to say it but get used to it. My daughter doesn't talk to me because of the sht her mother put in her head after we divorced. Online dating has been a dismal failure. At least for me. Wasted a lot of money for minimal results. Some people tell me it only works if you are exceptionally good looking. Developing a social network of friends is harder than you think when you don't have young kids.
@g-manmenthrivingafterdivorce

Sorry to hear that online dating hasn't worked for you...yet. I don't believe it only works for good looking people, it has a lot to do with your profile (the right photo, the right words, etc) and how you react or how you introduce yourself to a potential date when you first message each other.
@jugulartara4388
@jugulartara4388 3 ай бұрын
@@g-manmenthrivingafterdivorce I understand what you are saying but you leave out critical factors. The right words and photos didn't seem to get me anywhere. I tried changing them based on advice numerous times. Dating now is completely different than my 20s. I got divorced at 39, i am gainfully employed, have a master's degree and I am not overweight. Each year past 42, the pool of eligible women that came up appeared to dwindle and met fewer sensible standards. The ones that I did establish contact with were generally jaded, divorced and unwilling to ever marry again, used very old photos, significantly over weight, had psychiatric problems, were bankrupt, had multiple children with multiple men, lived off child support, had substance abuse problems, lived far away or were scammers. The sane ones without kids didn't want a family with a divorced man or even buy a home together where my kids could be a part of my life. Hence 10 years of trying came and went without any success. The last 2 years on one dating site, I didn't meet even one woman. The last woman I met online and dated for a few months - I found out her anxiety and depression was going to be a problem and had been involuntarily hospitalized just a few years ago. Back to the dating pool. It's not just how I introduce myself or a first messaging issue. It feels like the remaining pool of candidates of women have big problems and the good ones are already married.

Ive checked out a long time ago... that's the part ive heard so many times in so many videos...and that's the part that's the hardest for me to deal with. Ffs say something or do something to try and SOLVE the problem. At least try before you take the coward way out...my wife told me after 15 years of marriage. I mean 15 years...and she was already one year and a half thinking about leaving. For me that's the same as lying or cheating...and then blindsiding your husband and leave when he gave everything he had...i know im not perfect and ive made mistakes but at least im not a coward taking the easy way out...especially when you have a 9 year old with ASS...
