One of the more popular swaps known to the Fox platform is swapping the boring AOD automatic transmission for that of a T5. Now granted, we all prefer our own setups, and that's totally fine. But, let's be honest? Bangin' gears in a Fox Mustang is about as American as you can get!
Part two will cover pedal assembly removal, manual pedal assembly prep which includes the clutch quadrant and neutral safety switch, reinstallation of the new pedal assembly and reinstallation of the steering column. This video series will cover 1984 to 1993 5.0L Fox Body Mustangs equipped with an AOD transmission.

My pedal assembly did not come with a clutch dump switch nor did my car have the wires for it. Is this common on late year 91 Mustangs? I know that a lot of parts were switched over to the 92 production run parts in August, mostly the interior parts.

Same... I have a 93 GT and can't find the jumper on the right for the clutch dump switch. Does this not exist on my car?

@@jseifert18 What’s up bro. I found the switch on another pedal assembly my buddy had. I added it and found the plug. If you are not using cruise control then you don’t need this. If you don’t have it and you are using cruise, when you push the clutch the gas will go wide open.

Would you happen to know the colors of the wires from the automatic harness to the left which goes to the clutch switch and the color of wires to the right harness that goes to the dump switch thanks

I’m working on a 1991 foxbody drop top I found a jumped connection that was around where the radio sits my wire colors from body side of connector are two solid yellows and two reds with green stipe the jumper connector wire was a looped green wire is this ok to run for the clutch dump switch I plugged it in and slid right in

The yellow wires should actually be light green. That is the connector for the clutch sensing (dump) switch. -Landan I would also recommend investing in the electrical and vacuum manual for a 1991 Mustang. Link below. I am presently performing a 4 cyl to v8 swap using a manual equipped 4 cyl. As mentioned in your video, how critical is the difference between clutch pedal arms on the 4 cyls to the v8's? Will there be drivability issues? What adjustments may have to be made if using the 4 cyl clutch pedal assembly?

Doing a a4ld to t5 swap both 90s up dual plug 2.3na cars, so far everything is about equal on disassembly from his v8 to my I4. I'm barely on doing the interior work so bear with me, but I'll hopefully post updates as i do the swap. Donor car is a 91 2.3l na 5 speed, getting a 2.3t swap, the 2.3t swap came with 5 speed transmission so I'm moving the t5 from the soon to be swapped 4 banger to my auto 4 banger which has been a pain on me with the a4ld.

Currently doing this swap to my 1991 Mustang; At this time it seems as if the starter is not getting any power to turn the engine and fuel is leaking. I have researched the forums and I end up at the Neutral Safety Switch constantly. I plugged all jumper cables as shown and still nothing. Do I need a LMR T5 witch harness to connect to the T5 transmission as I see it has the female end of the neutral safety switch on it? If so, where do the wires connect to as they are open ended as shown on the LMR harness

@UCny994RZeTIA1c_4VFg1Tmg you are correct... it is only to deactivate cruise control. I had to find from someone to install on mine. Without this if I was using cruise and pushed in the clutch, the RPMs would max out. Cheers bro!

Dale - For the most part, yes. There may be differences in wiring on the '95 cars. To keep things very straightforward, I would recommend sourcing an entire T5 wiring harness from a donor car. -Landan
