It’s so nice to hear about another momma who ate all day long !! I seriously eat every single time I walk into the kitchen even if it’s just a grape. It’s so frustrating!!

Oh my gosh! I KNOW! When you're in the thick of raising kids, you LIVE in the kitchen. Eating when you aren't hungry is just what happens when food is around you all the time! Very challenging!

Solid tips! I love food too, but i found i love it even more if i dont overindulge like you explained, its very interesting. I've also found that having bigger balanced meals and limiting snacks helped me a lot, especially having a high protein breakfast. I have to say, I found that cutting back a lot on oil and eating high volume doesnt really work for me, i need a balance of volume but also nutritionally and calorie dense foods, otherwise i feel full but not satiesfied. Also, fat is importat for vitamin absorption and hormone regualtion. Also prioritizing protein at every meal, makes me way less hungry. Even if it is a more fatty protein source, i would prefer eating less rice for example and have a satisfying dose of protein, and always have veggies and salad and fruit with every meal. Ladies, eat your protein! Its so important! And yes be aware sometimes you are just hungry because you are bored, that was a big one for me too. Find what works for you, get educated and listen to what you are body is telling you. Solid video, thank you!

Right! I truly think most of us have regular problems with limiting food, because food is just so accessible and palatable! Not because of any other underlying issues. It's OK to want to eat better, and it doesn't mean you have body issues either. :)

I have found if I feel hungry, I drink a cup of tea or chug some water and usually it goes away. I was just thirsty! Unless I really am truly hungry, then I will eat. I follow your 1200 and 1500 plans and I'm obsessed! You've really helped me! Thank you!

Excellent hacks. I always need reminders! Ironically, I am reading The Joy of Half a Cookie right now. Waiting for the arrival of your book from Amazon regarding 1200 calories that will be on my doorstep tomorrow!

I'm virtually "cheers-ing" this video with my crystal light right now! 🥂😂 Great tips! im going to keep gum in my kitchen after this! - my tip to add would be to stay motivated by following/watching people who eat the same way - it normalizes the food scale weighing, MyFitnessPal using, protein centered way of life so it doesn't feel like a "diet" it just becomes how you do things 🙂

I love this advice!! It was so fun to travel to a bikini show with someone who ALSO was on prep! It definitely normalized not getting take-out on the road, and eating chicken and rice in a hotel room with only a fridge and microwave.

Can you also talk about how you transitioned to maintenance? Did you do the constant talked about “diet breaks”? Thank you 😊
@HealthBeet
@HealthBeet Жыл бұрын
I didn't take any diet breaks while I was getting to my goal. It felt too hard for me to "get back at it". But, I do think I could do it now, as for the last 4 years I have been able to have higher calorie days and not let it lead to "unlimited calorie days". But YES!! I'll work on a video about maintenance! It's an ongoing effort for sure.

Amy, do you work with clients. The info you graciously share on your blog and YT are more than enough to do it on our own, but I'm just curious.

Thank you for being a follower Vanessa! I've thought about working with clients now and then, but I haven't really figured out what that would look like yet. If I create some sort of program, I'll definitely let you know!
