"I'll start tomorrow". The Lie that keeps us from losing weight, and how to recognize it

When I finally woke up to the idea that I was running out of tomorrow's, I knew I couldn't put off my weight loss goals one more day! This is how I recognized the lie of "I'll start tomorrow", and how I started today to start my diet.
Finally start today to lose weight. Don't waste one more day saying "I'll start tomorrow".
Our brains will tell us anything to keep us comfortable. To justify our behavior. To indulge in our cravings. One of the conversations we have with ourselves when we are elbow deep in the bag of chocolate chips is "it's ok because I'll start tomorrow!".
If you've ever said this to yourself to justify overeating in the moment, this video is a MUST WATCH! I have a few things to watch out for to refute that inner voice.

Thank you for this Amy. Purchased your 1,200 calorie plan and have successfully lost 20 lbs in a year. Not only that, but I have consistently been able to lift weights and do cardio for a full year. I encountered many setbacks… Bovid, an allergic reaction to 2 antibiotics, my mother’s injury, traveling endlessly, and the mental battle of second guessing myself. All this to say, I am incredibly proud of myself. It’s not just about the weight. It’s about learning not to self-sabotage or make excuses for myself. Learning how strong we are and how capable we are of changing our self talk and life habits! Wow.. Getting teary. I even met the love of my life bc of the mental transformation that this started. My self confidence improved and that alone helped me realize inner and outer strength can be synergistic! Thank you so much!I have gained a little back, but I have since started therapy in order to cope with my emotional coping response to food… I am more positive. Being petite makes it a little harder to lose weight. This is no longer about just losing weight, but challenging myself mentally and emotionally. Seeing you succeed was very encouraging. I was just sharing with someone the other day that I LOVED losing weight, and not because of what the scale said, but because for the first time In my life I was keeping the commitments to myself, and that gave me more joy and self-esteem than fitting into smaller clothes! thanks you... thank you!! This is the best advice hands down for goals! I love when you said just worry about today and keep stringing "today's" together - I'm in my forties also and have finally after literally years and years reached my goal also and it was all because of diligently stringing "todays" together ☺️ love your videos I hope you keep making them I'm sure you are helping a lot of people!

YOU are MY FAVORITE! And I legit did the tomorrow excuse today. About tomorrow. I’ll start after tomorrow because I don’t have a plan. Lol But then I don’t plan. So I don’t start This… I’m putting this on repeat to listen to the next few days. Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤

oh man.. you aren't alone! WE ALL do it! But hopefully I got the idea across that we're running out of tomorrow's! Aging is hard enough, but when you realize you don't have much time left, you gotta get to doing it already. :) You got this!!!

Mine is "I'll start tomorrow because we are having a celebration today"..then I eat in excess, although I know that I can still enjoy the celebration without overeating. I'm going to stay on track today. Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Well, it does make sense, doesn't it! LOL. I'd like to eat all the treats at our BBQ tonight. but like you said, It doesn't have to be in EXCESS!! Haha!

I can so relate to this. I have been starting over on Monday for years now. It’s a vicious cycle.

Yep !!! I used to put myself to sleep by going over all the good for me things I was going to eat the next day. It seriously made me feel so I’m control to do this. But guess what, the next day came and went and I never ate those things!!

Thanks for watching the videos! Cellulite at any age is not easy. My only advice is that there's a point when you lean out that it will finally not be obvious, but that point is different for everyone. For me, it took being very low in body fat before it went away. But, as I've regained to a healthier weight, it hasn't come back.
