between balanced and high performance power plan settings may only be effective on lower end systems, the high performance power plan only makes ur pc using all its recources even tho when its not needed on lets say you watch a youtube video or a low graphic game, when u choose balanced it also uses all its recources when its actually needed, u will get and even in some cases get better performance on balanced since the system overall runs cooler

I have an x-570 chipset and am also getting "system product name". This step in the process is just confirming the chipset of your motherboard, which you may be able to discover by going over to your search bar, typing in "system information" and opening up that window. From there, you're looking for the line that says "BaseBoard Product", that should be the name of your motherboard. Go to your search engine, type the name of your motherboard followed by "chipset" and see if you can find further information regarding the chipset of your board. Worst case, you can always try to restart into your BiOS and your motherboard info should also be listed in there either on the homescreen of the BiOS menu or in one of the information sub-menus. Of course, if you still have the box your motherboard came in when you first bought it, it'll say right there on the front, as well lol "x570" or "B550", etc. edit: downloading CPU-ID will also list this info under the section titled "Mainboard" chipset/southbridge

@BC_Joshie2 жыл бұрын
for AMD CPU's you are supposed to use balanced power plan he should not say otherwise in his video. On balanced your CPU uses less power for light tasks but in gaming/editing etc it will use more power. Having it on performance modes just makes your CPU run max power nonstop which is why a lot of AMD users say their CPU is so hot on idle or reaches very high temps. not only that but having it run on max performance non stop it will shorten the life of the CPU. Intel on the other hand is better to use performance because those CPU's don't boost on light tasks and don't get hot on idle while on performance mode. As a side note setting a max temp to around 75 will stop your 5000 series CPU's reaching 80's and 90's and you won't lose any performance, in some cases you gain performance.
@Vern_Levine2 жыл бұрын
That was the case before AMD updated their drivers.

It really depends on the CPU and game. Older titles that use less multi-threading benefit more from game mode. Newer titles tend to favor the use of the GPU and, if available, SAM/Resizable Bar to bypass most of the CPU work. Emulation tends to rely on the CPU, btw.

@younclebear2 жыл бұрын
@@navr1111111111111111 To clarify, resetting CMOS is resetting everything back to default settings meaning none of the changes illustrated in this video will be present in your system after that reset. The boot-looping or monitors not turning back on after saving the updated settings could possibly be due to a couple of things, but check how much voltage your RAM is pulling after enabling XMP. Memory/RAM may be demanding too high of voltage and, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Ryzen CPUs don't like voltage too far above 1.35v after XMP profiles are enabled. A possible fix may be to enable XMP and see what it wants to set the voltage to, the either manually begin to lower back to 1.35v or, reduce clck speeds of your RAM, as well. As an example, you could reduce from 3200/1600 to the very next selection down in each menu. So, 3200 reduce to I think the next one is 3133 or something. Then reduce Fclck to 1566 or whatever the next one is. But first, start with reducing clocks, then voltage if that doesn't work. As I'm typing, I just noticed that you have 4 sticks of 16gb of RAM which is why enabling XMP could become problematic as Ryzen for some reason does not like all 4 RAM slots taken up. So, I believe lowering the speed of the RAM one step at a time until your monitors turn back on will actually be the likeliest solution. Let me know if this helps!
@navr11111111111111112 жыл бұрын
@@younclebear There was multiple issues I had with my setup. The most glaring one was enabling XMP with 4 sticks on ram, from two difference manufacters, with two different advertised speed. This is a gaming PC, and so the 64gb was overkill. I took out 32gb and left my Corsair Vengence 32gb 3600mhz in there. XMP worked find and the system booted. I assume the different clock speeds for memory had a huge part in why my setup wouldnt work... unless XMP automatically throttles the memory OC down to the lowest rated memory. The issue for me now is my CPU is running pretty hot with the OC. 67c-73c idle which isn't the end of the world, but when I play games maxed out it is hitting 95c constant and throttling. I have the wraith stock cooler that came with it and I probably need to re-do my thermal paste. Both those factors are probably why the temps are so damn high when gaming. I bought a noctua and some new thermal paste and will hopefully conclude my computer upgrades for the near future.

So for the chipset driver do I just install over the current one? Or should I uninstall my current chipset driver first, restart pc, and then install the most recent one?
@Shadowner832 жыл бұрын
Just install over the current one. It will update the files required automatically.

Panjno, would you be able to look at a game called "*GENERATION ZERO*". The community is suffering random crashes and nobody has found a fix or cause. Steam still has this game for sale even with numerous reports of CTD.
