🇺🇸🇬🇧Horses are our companions. They also appear in ancient cave paintings and we have domesticated some of them. We love them so today you'll learn how to paint a "Bay Horse": they have reddish-brown or brown body color with a black point coloration of the mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs. Excellent: the most funny part is when I read "after few hours of blending..." wouahou! Now the question is: how many hours? :) The result is stunning!

Thank you!! 😊 the things is that I would never ending the blending, I love it and I’d go on and on.. btw, in this case 3/4 Hours, the surfaces are wide and it takes time, but there’s no a rule, sometimes is faster, sometimes not 😊

@@thedoyla hello! Glad you like it. Use the blending technique, on this subject it takes a bit of time, but slowly, step by step you can achieve the goal, I also suggest to use the glaze medium, to have a satin effect, unless you have to paint a white horse, that is opaque.

Half the trick seems to be realising that the colours look very different when wet and when dry.

Hello, can you detail the entire color palette? you only put 4 or 5 mixes but in the palette appear many more. Thank you I thinck is diferent proportion water.

Hi, thank you. I mentioned and showed all colors, at the beginning there’re just the main colors, that is the aim of the video, but then I showed the rest.

How do you stop the paints drying out in the pallet? If I don’t use a wet pallet the paints dry within minutes!

Hello R M! With higher temperatures, acrylic paints tend to dry easily if a wet palette is not used. Anyway, we have a Retarder Medium that allows your paint to stay fresh for longer. Read more here :) acrylicosvallejo.com/en/product/hobby/auxiliaries-model/retarder-medium-70597/

Do I have to use retarder to mix colors in the palette? Acrylic dries quickly, so doesn't it dry quickly if put it in a palette like that? I'm worried that if I mix colors in a large amount and dry it before I can paint it. How can I paint for a long time without drying? Your painting is Awesome!!!

Hello 탄불, you can use a wet palette. It elongates the drying time a bit and also you can use our Retarder Medium. In addition to that, it all depends on the amount of water you use to thin the paints, the temperature of your studio, etc. But yep, you can add RM to your colors when mixing if you feel that you need it :)
