Awesome work! I was pointed to your channel by Ronald Boon art (who makes some awesome clouds himself). Very happy to have found this. I think part of connecting the cloud to the sky is by adding atmospheric perspective on the cloud itself? I wouldn't mind hearing a bit more info on the thinking when mixing your cloud colours i.e. more grey/ cooler/ warmer/ etc. Great vid and thanks for sharing!

Thank you :-))) Yes, you need to connect the clouds to the background colour, no matter if it`s blue on a sunny day or grey on a overcast sky. This is one of the most critical errors that I see people do, they paint clouds like they were "cut out". They need to emerge from the back in some places, soft edges, lots of colour variations and of course also warmer and colder tones. Clouds look easy to paint but doing them right in a really realistic way is just as difficult as any other subject.

Prego! Ma ho usato solo colori ad olio, niente colori acrilici (i colori ad olio miscibili in acqua, trovate il link nella descrizione del video).

Thank you Peggy :-))) Actually I come from Germany...but we germans are well known for NOT being able to speak a proper english ;-))) So yea, can easily be mistaken for a french accent ;-)))

Would you take the same approach with acrylic paint? Gorgeous clouds btw 😊👍🏻💙. I love painting clouds. They are so free and dreamy.

Thank you :-))) You can go the same "route" with acrylics but I would take some drying retarder for them...it is very hard to get this kind of blending with acrylics that are basically nearly the moment dry you put them onto the canvas.

Aunque uso pintura al óleo miscible en agua, ahora uso casi exclusivamente aceite de linaza purificado como medio. Con esto logro un tiempo de secado más largo que me permite trabajar más en los detalles.
