Wow, Jonathon you really nailed it. I love the colour, I used it myself very recently on a side board. But as you said, majority of people would go with a mould or decopage on the round upper back of the unit. However, your idea of the slim trim looks so beautiful, simple and original. If I were staging A Christmas Carol by Dickens, I’d use this as Ebenezer Scrooge’s desk. I’ve no idea if it’s the right period, but I think the audience would relate to it, with the touches of “gold.” I love its shape, also.

I use the term...blind mans feel....i touch or rub an area w out looking at it. Believe it ir not. Ur fingers see more than the eye...if that makes any sense. I look away...i rub the areas....my fingers feel the dips, imperfections before my eyes do. I touch it lightly. It works really well.
