This video was the reason why I got my Imperial Knight cause I wanted this effect on the weapons and the exhausts but didnt know how to do it!

@@lynchpaints It turned out so great, this video really gave me the confidence to push my painting further and I feel I am closer to my goal I set for myself as a minipainter and that is to really nail Non-Metallic Metals.

Great video! I've been considering painting a team of salamanders for a bit and I will definitely use this technique for when I do. P.S. A tip I've seen for broken citadel caps, like at 9:20, is to stick a paintbrush in the hinge to hold it open. Hope that helps!

Oh no that's such a loss for them ☹️ I don't understand why they'd get rid of them as they were so good! Good job I still have my black soot and grey ash powders 😂

Absolutely do NOT apply pigment like shown in this video. You'll want a large paper towel underneath, dampened a bit. Why? Because even the smallest bit of pigment will easily dust off and stain carpet, clothes, wall, whatever. I fine bit of pigment will produce a stain 3"+ on carpet. Otherwise the method show here is great!

I think you should rephrase this comment to, 'this video is great however I would add a paper towel (or equivalent of) underneath in case of spills
