How to paint Muzzle Burn/Scorched/Hot Metal with a Brush or Airbrush!

In this video I show you how to paint your weapons with Muzzle Burn or Scorched Metal! This could be used on Flamers, Melta, Boltguns, Exhaust pipes and even Scenery!
I use mostly Games Workshop/Citadel Contrast Paints for this and one vallejo game colour ink. You could use any alternative inks/washes for the same effect.

This channel is about painting converting and kitbashing miniatures for your warhammer & d&d games, Age of sigmar, warhammer 40k games and Necromunda. I will maybe paint Space Marines, Space Wolves, Stormcast Eternals, cities of sigmar, chaos space marines, painting scale models or miniature busts in the future. I've done how to paint guides you could use them for how to paint d&D I may do a conversion guide for Darktide or Dark tide however it is spelled. And in the future I will build and paint some terrain for my miniature war gaming wargaming hobby. I will be painting up the Dominion Box too!

Best looking tutorial I've found so far! I plan on trying it tomorrow (maybe the next day lol), but was wondering, are you thinning the contrasts at all? If so, by aprox. how much?

Thanks for this video! Was super helpful, though I will say. I didn’t have the blue you used, but had the Aethermatic Blue you showed as an alternative, that part turned out like shit. Ended up using Drakenhof Nightshade instead, looks a lot better after that

Love the muzzle burn! I also love the Blood Angels paint job you did on this dread! How’d you do this scheme? It looks to be different from the grim dark Blood Angel marine video you did?

Its exactly the same paint scheme. This dread has bigger panels so the brighter red from the ink shows through more. Also my friend wanted the armour slightly brighter so it has more white parts on the second stage.

Amazing video. Question. I'm new to air brushing and he hobby in general. What is the thing your using to move paint from the bottle to the air brush? It almost looks like a straw.

Hi Joshy, it's a plastic pipette. Same thing you would have used in science classes in school. I bought a bunch on amazon...about 50 of them for a few £'s. They are super useful! I even use them to wash out the airbrush!

I tried the painting style you did with the brush but I only had carroburg crimson. The end result was that everything turned out really dark. Did I do something wrong?

I would thin it a little more. Do an initial layer and let it dry. And then do an additional layer if you want it darker. It may be too dark straight out of the pot
