Awesome tip on free-hand Lightning bolts! I'd love to see more from the Forgeworld Horus Heresy character series since you're one of the few people who do this with a mostly GW paint scheme.

hey apathetic fish can you ever paint a chaos space marine or terminator with the cleaved paint scheme? the paint scheme of the cleaved is a pale flesh like like color with some green brown oil oozing out from their armor.

What is you're reason for priming with black? have tried this a few times in the past but always default to a dark grey. it seams like you allways end up having to do many more layers to get colors to pop.

have you tried wiping the null oil away after it is halfway dried? might get rid of the second base coat application.

red hands indicate a legionnaire who has does something wrong and is due to be executed at some point.

It's true he was marked for later execution but I'm not sure whether or not the paint was on his flesh and blood hands or his gauntlets. I actually listened to Prince of Crows yesterday and it wasn't specified.

i just have an 2000 points of night lords and all can say its a beautefull army, but you have to work a lot with customization and painting.

Would the way you painted the Lightning on the armor work for painting power weapons as well?

I think so. You can change the blues if you need a brighter looking blue but in essence you could do the same for power weapons

The video was very long by itself. But the base was super simple. Almost exclusively drybrushes. Black basecoat and grey drybrushes going from mechanicus standard grey up to administratum grey. Leadbelcher and necron compound on the metallics and the rest however you like. Wash the depest recesses with agrax earthshade, paint some brass, splatter some blood on the base and so.
