If you want a vibrant colour that’s safe a dark to light blue is a nice bet. Something like kantor blue through to temple guard blue, add white in to do the radar lines. I did that on my storm speeder for a colour variety. You could also do something like wild rider red glazed down from a dark red like gal vorbak if you wanted to tie orange as a spot colour

For painting salamanders In general a super secret green depth and shadow generation can come from glazing dark Reaper into your shadows, darkens the green without loosing colour depth that adding black would

Glad you liked it! The buttons are done in the same way folks do gem stones or lenses. Paint the base of the darkest colour and pick a bottom corner ( do it the same for all buttons ) then highlight progressively smaller areas with a lighter shade with a white dot in the opposite top corner
