In this video we look at a little cheat I use to save time by using a marker pen to finish the Tamiya Driver Figure 😎👊🏻

😂 This was really helpful. You sound like me “No painting skills whatsoever” 😂 I love the cars and building the models, but painting the bodies and drivers, not so much. Thanks for the tips!

If you have flat black or dark brown enamel paint then you can thin it with 80% enamel thinners and just touch it with the thinnest brush you have onto the creases on the face it will come to life. let it half dry and wipe most of it off with a moist cotton bud dipped in enamel thinners. I know it sounds a lot but it takes about 10 seconds (not including the drying time) and it improves the look of the face by 1000% 👍

Painting the Tamiya drivers is an art form in it's own right and I won't hear otherwise. People take ages over everything else and then avoid or do a crappy job on the driver. Does my head in lolz :D

I’m not the biggest fan of painting, the black marker route seems ideal for me. Thanks for the tips!!!

You could also use a "Testor's" paint pen too.

Great Vid. Where do you get your spares (tyres, body shells btw)? Nice familiar accent btw, I'm originally from Wibsey ;-)

He he very good cheat! I'm not too found of painting drivers ... but do it anyway, the slow and hard way. The satisfaction after all that pain is great ;-) But this actually is the best "quick" result I've seen. Usually the "quick paint"-jobs I've seen are absolutely horrible. Thanks for sharing, mate. Have you tried the Tamiya "paint pens"? (I have not).

Come on😀 it's takes a little bit of time masking and priming but the results are fair more appealing especially if your displaying like you are 😊 I couldn't look at them and be happy with black shiny marker on them 😔😃 But that is why this hobby is so Awesome 🤘 it doesn't matter what others think only what makes you happy 👍👍🤙
