Do not ask if the patient can feel. Tell patient to close eyes, then verbally respond when sensation is felt!

I don't know about "Do you feel this?" First, it's a suggestion-- patients might take that suggestion and imagine they're feeling something. Also, eager to be healthy, patients will be tempted to lie and answer, "Yes" every time. "Look away. Tell me when you feel something." might offer more valid information.

While u are asking ,do i feel this ,pt can get alerted and he is prepered to say yes instead better be silent and tell her to say when he get the feeling

how old was she ? any subsequent vidoes of her soles/feet ? how bad is her diabetes?

Chris - This was a model that was used for the instructional video to show the steps involved in a diabetic foot exam. I am not aware of whether or not she actually had diabetes.

Thanks for your question, Chris. Our volunteer is 57 years old with Type 2 Diabetes that is controlled with oral medications. I do not have subsequent videos of the soles of her feet. Is there any specific question you had that I could relay to wound care specialist?
