Today we look at a few more Melee weapon challenges. I attempt to beat Half-Life 1 and Blue-Shift without ever picking up the crowbar. And did you know there is a second Combat Knife in Opposing Force?

@@quackers8681 the direction where he landed in the left side where there is a big pile of blood there is an invisible crowbar but he jumped little bit far so he actually avoided the 4 or 5 invisible crowbars.

In Marphitmus's video they say it's "very difficult to avoid." They knew it was possible to jump over.

But it is not easy because they placed more invisible crowbars next to it. So you need perfect timing.

@@danielp.1594 But if there's triggers there, it's not as though they're going to disappear. It's not about timing, it's about where you are in relation to the crowbar. You can jump over it at any point, but if you're in the wrong position you're screwed

You can also get the desert eagle early by jamming the door with the chair in the room, leaving, jumping back in, and killing Otis. Just make sure to not let the door close once you're back in, because if it does, you're fucked.

No need to skip melee weapons, because holding a gun and no melee, i feel empty, like something is not right and that feel makes me mad. Its same as drinking water without cup, or sandwich without bread. This is why i like pick up melee weapons first.

Learned from another KZfaqr, but you can glitch grenades past the trash compactor part using some clever frame movement I believe, allowing you to get past that grate using a grenade. So you aren’t softlocked

You actually can go though in h1 through trash compactor. You need somehow throw headcrab in there and lead him into the hole, to break fence. That just a theory, so, no fact that this gonna work

You'd have to get it to climb the ladder. You MIGHT be able to do that by ducking at just the right time to get it to land on your head, and then tank all it's hits as you climb the ladder under it (if you even can) but you'd have to do it in one try or else the platform is going to be so low that even if you survived the headcrab, the fall would kill you. That's not even taking into account the damage you're going to take while trying to share a tight vent with an angry headcrab. In summary, maybe not impossible, but definitely more frustrating than I'd be willing to do. Even more frustrating than that? I'm putting in all this effort writing a comment which no one will ever see. Fun.

It's looks like it's not possible to finish half life without crowbar, but you can on black mesa! Softlocked place is breakable with an item that you found where the headcrabs are.

If you noclip through that one grate (or give yourself one free swing of the crowbar, like the One Free Bullet in Ep1) can you do the rest of the game? I'd think so but I might be wrong. I also wonder if you can get through the one grate in the Hazard Course somehow...

3:49 after he opens the door i drag the chair where the double door closing i pick the wrench the door won't be closed because the chair is blocking it, i kill the guard and i continue my way with deagle and wrench

I finished blue shift w/o crowbar! I tryed and can do it,only with save/load i destroyed only boxes,wich giving ammo,so its can finish legaly finish game w/o crowbar!!!

you can actually beat half life one with no crowbar, by using a speedrun tactic you can lower your fps to 4 jumping into the apprehention trigger jump out and have some time to grab grenades than just blow the grate open

Hey, you make interesting videos, but I think that "editing" could be smoother. Going further, I think that there could be better transactions between image used for "comments" ect, and the gameplay footage. I think that font that You are using is looking not that good
