Hey Devin, great video as always. Particular favourite of mine this time as I kept using every break at last years Throne of Skulls to go and buy more as I was afraid they'd run out again! I can recommend the metals, there's a slight scale issue but there's nothing stopping someone from using spearmen and just doing a swordsman hand swap. I've done this to keep the scale right for the troops and it wasn't much work really, just a few extra quid (or bucks).

Christmas 2019 come early!!! I really hope the last alliance supplement book happens soon. Numenor need the help more than say Gondor or Mordor. Anarion, some knights (possibly with nice forgeworld models) are a must.

In books númenorean forces fights in shieldwall and wedge formation. Gw should give rules for these type of formations. Bows should have S3 or maybe even S4. Defence 5 is wierd for this army beacuse in books they made a better armours and weapons even then elves. I think Númenor shuldn't have heavy cavalery options, beacuse Tolkien described that in army were only non-númenorean mounted scouts. They simply don't trust horses, they prefer to travel anywhere on foot, if possible. :D Númenoreans are first of all seaman and I like to see unit that refers to this.

Interesting video. I was play LotR when it first came out via GW and was collecting the Last Alliance. Had Elrond, Gil-Galad with two boxes of Elves, then sold them. But I kept all of my Numenor troops, expanded with spearmen, converted an Isildur to a Captain, converted a swordsman into a banner man, got Elindil and Isildur. Won many, lost few. Still have all of my Numenor force as well. Not sure how many points I have now, considering that the game probably has changed since 2002...that's when I last played.

Numenorean steel bows are meant to be absolutely lethal in the lore, very sad to not see that reflected in the rules. The defense 5 really kills it for me too.

Numenor is the army I want to build the most other than The Rangers, but the reason why I haven't started building that army is because of the warriors of the last alliance box set. I do like the high elves, but at the moment I was not interested because I find Numenor much cooler, but thanks to your video I am more interested now to build that Last Alliance army to fill out the weaknesses of those forces. Edit: I also don't like building metal and resin models (with exception to forgeworld), but until A: new box with updated plastics for both side and have them be seperate or B: bite the bullet when it comes to building those models

Another great video for those new to the hobby such as myself, would love to see the Dead of Dunharrow next! Thinking of building an army with them, but not entirely sure whether I should ally or not.

Númenor helped elves not only in war of last alliance but in war in Eregion. Maybe some scenario book will focus on that in the future. :D

Hey Devin, I don't think you mentioned the restriction against Isildur having The Ring in the same army as one that contains Elendil. It makes sense, as does not being able to wear The Ring while mounted, but it does weaken an army that doesn't need any more of that. Strength 4 was a nice bonus, but I would have like to have seen them with an additional Army bonus reflecting their heroic status. Maybe something like they auto-win tied duels? I'll probably field them again at NOVA this year, regardless. Thanks for making the video!

Used tot play pure Numenor a lot, the defense 5 is not that bad in my opinion (especially wat all the strength 4 evil armies). I think their bonus is quite good as with objective games i player they would run away at the game end :/

books: almost 1.8m tall minimum the average Numenorean, master swordsmen, archers and marine to the man lead by the mighty Elendil who was an almost 3 meters tall giant hench his title "the tall" that actaully kicked the hell out of Sauron and died simuteniously with him due to mortal wounds.To kill his son Anarion the evil forces needed to yeet a massive boulder on him to die already. tabletop: very few units without the best defense and not the almost elf level archers they are ment to be, still missing Anarion and command units, in fact GW is expecting you to kitbash them apperantly instead of bothering to make a dedicated model. movies: army of average joes showed for a few minutes with Elendil killed the moment he went to attack and having Isildur do what his father did in the book but in a less epic level, Anarion is ripped out of the lore.
