Final Fantasy 7 Remake combat gameplay featuring solo Barret. All story bosses he is directly involved with (except for Sephi as it is not possible due to Cloud's involvement) solo'd on hard mode with no healing, completing our 4 character solo story boss series. Plenty of gotterdammerung abuse for max fun factor with the aim that it will be entertaining to watch! Barret doesn't have the flair and speed of Cloud and Tifa, nor the raw power of Aerith. His approach is slightly more simplistic, but his comparatively weak damage output makes many bosses far more challenging than the others. The Arsenal being a prime example. I actually enjoyed putting this together more than I thought I would. Random boss order to mix it up a bit!
Many people have requested some Barret gameplay lately and I hope this is enjoyable for those individuals! There are things I see after each kill that could be improved upon, but I don't have the time available to me to throw at repetitive attempts so I have to be happy with what I do first time around :)

Lots of Barret gameplay requests lately, so here we are! By his very design, Barret isn't meant to be played in the fast paced aggressive nature of Cloud and Tifa and his damage output over a typical boss fight can't hope to get near Aerith but I wanted to get as close to the pace I like to play at, within the constraints of his slower mechanics as possible. Overall from what I see, it seems he's the least favourite for most people to play, but for those that do enjoy Barret's combat I hope I've done him some justice for you! 💪🔥Oh also, for anyone under utilising Point Blank... don't. Have fun guys!

Thanks for this! Barret is an underdog character in many ways, but he deserves his time to shine. I weirdly enjoy playing him a lot, despite how clunky he is. He clearly was balanced around lower-level gameplay. Like most games with a tank character, top level play obsoletes them by not needing a tank at all. So he's just not as valuable for a top player like you, and his solos are the toughest. All the more reason they're great to watch!

@@Dowdzy9999 Its Point Blank man. Stick it on an enemy whos almost dead, then run around in circles to mock them while they wait to explode. That one move makes Barret so much more fun, its a damn shame he gets it so late. His deadly dodge with HP Absorb is actually pretty damn good too, and Overrun and Overcharge are amazing ATB build tools. He's just too slow to truly style on enemies. I've been racking my brain for ways he could be better besides just "make him less slow" which is part of his character, and the only things I've thought of are allowing his defensive buffs to link to allies through a weapon ability, and giving him some sort of landmine attack that he can use to control space and stun enemies while he attacks them with his slow/strong attacks. Maybe have the mine blow enemies towards him so it can combo into Charging/Smackdown/Point Blank. I see lots of potential here to make him more fun without while keeping his slow tank role intact.

Great video, on side note, i found the fight vs failed experiment hilarious^^ Tifa and Barrett nod at each other, as in "Are you thinking what i am thinking?" "Uh! Let's go!", and then she transforms into a frog ^^'

I was initially put off by melee Barret but when I tried him out he was extremely fun and satisfying. Both ranged and melee Barret also have equally satisfying triangle specials.

It's the parry materia, looks more exaggerated than it usually is as the boss of swiping in the opposite direction. Lets you keep attacking momentum!

How did you get limit 3 times against Abzu

Staggering an enemy fills just over a third of your limit gauge. Magnified Aerora against the Shoats instantly staggers them. Casting it then using a limit before the staggers register means you'll have some of your guage refilled instantly, as you're using the current limit break.
