Thanks man. It's very difficult to see but if you watch it at 0.25 you'll see at around 1.50 and look purely at the abilities menu it switches quickly to Aerith and back to Cloud. That's me using the shortcuts menu with L2+L1 and Thundaga in order to cast without controlling Aerith. Likewise with Tifa you can use R2+L1 and an ability shortcut to perform an action with her without controlling her. Aerith uses Thunder in this sequence before Thundaga due to synergy materia. When you use an ability with your controlled character, the character with synergy will use the element you've linked to it (only a level 1 spell, i.e fire rather than fira). It also doesn't cost MP or ATB to trigger. The game triggered synergy from Clouds disorder ability and queues the Thundaga I inputted with shortcuts once the synergy auto thunder was cast, hence the delay between my input command and Thundaga being cast. I hope that makes sense dude 😁👍

@@Dowdzy9999 thanks for the very thorough explaination bro. But I thought synergy materia works if you use the spell on your controlled character? It works on ability too? So put this again: you use an ability 1st with Cloud so that's why Aerith cast Thunder, after that you have her cast Thunderaga. And while you use Tifa with Focus strike continuosly so Aerith cast Thunder too, is that right?

Apparently, it depends on the choices you make with each character dialogue you encounter with the two Edit: It's actually based on a point system based on how well you play with each character during the final fight with the whispers. I initially thought it was dialogue based
