Been playing for about 3 years and I’ve still yet to hit a royal flush or straight flush at the casino/real card game. Maybe I’ve hit one playing home games with wilds and short decks etc. I’m not too sure, even crazier is the only royal flush hit at my table this far, was one where I folded before the river came out and the dude rabbit hunted to see it and hit the royal flush, costed himself the 1500 high hand 😂 thought he was going to cry.

That would be cool. We're going to look into this. This hand was part of a 3-hour block that was on a corrupted file filmed back in 2015. It got lost in the shuffle at some point and was rediscovered in late 2023. This table session originally aired as Season 4 (episodes 1-6). In the grand totality, Poker Night has aired ~258 half-hour episodes of regular $25/$50 cash games. This doesn't include King of the Hill, Celebrity Home Game, Poker Night Live, etc but there were also no royals on those shows.

@@Pokernight Excellent. What's crazy is that there's probably a way to now automate extracting hands-dealt data by letting an AI crawl your entire video catalog. If that is in fact doable (and access to the resource can be secured on the cheap), I'd recommend first estimating a ballpark figure by sampling average run-rates of hands-dealt per some time unit. Last thing you want is to be strictly relying on AI to provide an answer...only to find out later it 'hallucinated' while coming up with its number. A royal flush is easier to make in Texas Hold’em with odds for coming in at 0.0032% and odds against of 30,939-to-1. Before doing anything, you of course will want to establish an office pool for over/under bets. 😁

@@jaybingham3711the main obstacle with this task would be that nothing was “streamed” prior 2015 so it exists without proper rfid in accessible form. It would be possible to have AI scrape all hands that are “in episodes” but that would only reflect something like 10% of hands recorded.
