This video REALLY helped me out. I just got the trumpet yesterday. Barely able to get a low C. Now Im able to get low C and D and its because my air wasnt fast enough. I thought it was a problem with my embouchure or my tongue, but they were both in place. I noticed theres a difference between fast air and loud noise. Im a tenor sax player and this is a whole different world.

As a trombone player I'll say this is one of the best instructional musicians on KZfaq of ANY instrument. He doesn't fish for income by begging for likes and subscribers and in fact encourages to dislike if the video wasn't insightful or helpful. Not to mention his examples and demonstrations are really easy to undertand and he doesn't get too fat into detail making it hard to comprehend. He's definitely contributed to my trumpet playing and even my musicianship as a whole.

This video helped me more than my professors in brass techniques. As a percussionist, I didn't have a very good embouchure when I took brass techniques in college, but this video saved me from bad grades on my performance tests. Another future music teacher is on the way to graduation thanks to this video.

I used to play the trumpet back when I was still in school (more than 12 years ago) recently I decided to pick it up again. I went from playing clarinet, back in the day. I learned to play some but I was never really good at it. Picking it up again I realized I was still not very good at it lol and struggled greatly with some higher notes. I have to say just watching this video has really helped to broaden my range (which wasnt much to begin with) thank you for the tutorial and explaining it in such an easy way to understand. I must of looked at a dozen of other websites trying to learn the technique to this and yours is the one the really helped!

Great Video! The hardest thing sometimes is getting beginning band players to play the note G. They just play way down below C and do not know how to raise their pitch. This video gives great insight to that issue and presents it in a way that beginning players can understand.

This video really helped me. Im in 8th grade and I had to play the trombone and trumpet this year. In my school, when you're in Grade 8/9 band, you're expected to play as good as someone that has been playing for two years (first year in 7th grade. When you reach grade 8, you gotta work really hard). Unfortunately, I have 0 experience with both instruments so I had to learn really fast. Trombone was very easy to learn and get used to and even though Ive only been playing for a month, I'm already as good as someone that has been playjng for a year. Trumpet on the other hand is a struggle. I can make a sound and play a few notes but that's about it. Thanks for this video
