I just got this game in the mail recently and we busted out the Definitive Edition to take it for a trial run. It would have been easier if we would have watched this video for the set up. 😊 However, for the most part, we did a majority correctly. It left us at the end wanting to play again (I am trying to set it up to play again today. (Hey… it’s Father’s Day. Consider it my present. 😁). Tempest, Unity, and Wraith took on Baron Blade and thwarted the sinister plan to pull the Moon into Earth! 🎇 Well…mostly. We forgot to turn his card over so ended the game prematurely. Live and learn. 😉 Now that I know what I know, we will start a campaign. I’ll also be dropping a video for some gameplay in a few months (schedule is three months out so a lot of content to make in the meantime between time.). Been a fan since I got the original copy at the Gencon it was released. I’m really impressed with the new art and the rules revisions. Can’t wait for the next expansion!

And now I know what those reminder things are for...to divide up the and villain decks. That will make set up quite a bit easier.

I have been playing sentinels since pretty much the beginning I finally ordered my copy of definitive edition and the expansion. Comes in tomorrow excited to play.

I was a big fan of the old edition, and I didnt think the gsme could get better. I was wrong. The Definitive Edition brought some fantastic changes, and is a huge upgrade for one of my favorite games.

Kinda wish this video was released a week or so ago...the Villain spinner took longer than I like to admit to figure out to fold in the wings.

I will tell you that the Akash'Bhuta villain seriously turned me off from this game, and I might consider selling it. It's an extremely poor design, and 200 HP is WAY too much for it to have. It should have 100 HP. They gave it a difficulty of 4, while it really should be around 9. I also found absolutely NO strategy guides or the right type of heroes needed to beat her. Simply AWFUL. I beat Baron Blade handily, but Akash? Forget it. This was the worst design for a villain that I've ever seen in any board game thus far.

@@realdealastrology9 Dude, the limbs will deal Akash damage when destroyed you honestly just need focus on taking out her limbs and you'll be fine. Also, you're saying 200 hp is too much, you must have not seen Terrorform who also has 200 hp or have never even heard of Obliveon who has 10,000 hp in his first phase. You want a villain of bad design, look at Wager Master from the older Enhanced Edition and how his cards just messed with the rules of the game just to be annoying as well as how he could play in such a manner that the heroes are granted a free win before they can even play a card.

@@realdealastrology9 What do you mean it still fails? You probably didn't quite see that AOE damage, which can be provided by heroes like Tempest, Tachyon, and some others (I'll let you go see for yourself) is really good against her because you can damage her limbs and her body. If you're still struggling, try fighting her in the Freedom Tower environment since that has fewer targets for her to discard.

Sounds like you just aren't very good at the game and may need to spend more time playing it and actually learning the mechanics of the game since she definitely isn't even the most difficult fight in the game and is super beatable

@@darksider1113 if you knew what you were talking about, you'd give some kind of strategy for her. Since you don't know, I'm inclined to believe what you say is bs

@@realdealastrology9 the way you typically go about winning vs her is using aeo and focusing her limbs that and making sure minimizing her damage the best you can with things like tachyon, Wraith or anyone with any damage reduction prevention. She is a heavy hitter but if you manage to weaken her damage and kill her limbs quickly her HP should diminish pretty quickly. Also hard to give a ton of advice without knowing what your doing wrong or what heros or environment your playing in
