One of the most illustrious items you can get in Bannerlord is the legendary food known as "Butter". Butter buffs the natural human body giving Vlandian troops extremely strong bones allowing them to carry around their huge muscles and balls when they charge deep into enemy territory with their long lances or alternatively pierce true in the enemies gap using the powerful crossbow. This guide will help you understand butter better as you master the unrivaled crossbow kingdom.

I don't think so. Derthet's capital is Sargot (it was supposed to be further north, but Taleworlds accidentally swapped Ocs Hall and Sargot and nothing can be done) And he is of house Tihr. Harlaus is probably from the noble house that owns Pravend.

@@plaidpvcpipe3792 According to the lore sargoth and tihr was lost to the nords before harlaus became king. But it to be a part of swadia. Just like how the rhodoks used to be a part of swadia. Maybe the royal family fled to praven after the loss of sargot. Praven used to be the capital of the calradic empire before they lost it to the vlandians.

To be fair, if you use influence properly to get the faction leader to view you favorably (around +15 relationship) they will tend to give you a castle as early as clan level 2 (though I admit it is rare), and either multiple castles or a settlement by around clan level 3 or 4. I believe there is also a bonus when asking for a castle or settlement near a territory you already own, and certain leaders tend to be more fair than others on certain play-through s. I have been known to leave a faction (Khuzaits) because Monchug refused to give ANYONE anything more than a single castle and kept getting into 2 or 3 wars at a time.

@@vampuricknight1 Actually it was because concil of the common was a bit to overpowered and gave WAY to much influence so the faction leader of vlandia (Derthert) COULD take all penality from going against the majority vote and why wouldn't he xD.

I never had problems with fiefs, 10+ relations seems to do the trick, I didnt even spend influence on the votes and got 3 castles and a town.

Vlandia was the last kingdom I ever chose to play but it will always be first in my heart. Derthert is the greatest lord I have ever served. He gave me Sargot 5 seconds after I swore loyalty to him and from that moment I knew I would spend the rest of my days fighting for his affection.

I became the most beloved man in the kingdom, and when Derthert, my dear friend, met his end by the slow creep of years, the lords of the kingdom made me king in place of Derthert's son Edurand. With my loyal wife Mauriana by my side, we have kept the advance of the infidel Aserai back, and have even taken much of their wasteland territory. We have been warring for eight years, and not once was war provoked by us, but by them. I do love the Aserai people, but war is war, and they give us no peace. So be it. How to actually get fiefs: play as Sturgia mercenary and retake sturgia lands from vlandia. Then get a vassall and start conquering fiefs of vlandia. Once you took a town, if ragnvad steals it, betray the sturgians and retake the town again which won't have a garrison since you have just taken it before. Finally you own a nice town and may pledge vassal to vlandia

To be fair starting out as a trader with some 20 recruits (to scare off most looters and bandits) and just make it to some 10k to start buying horses in large and selling them for like 5* the price, simultaneously upping my trade sky high and then just levelling up smithing feels like a general optimal start. Once you get a hold of town (generally speaking just wait for an AI to take someone elses city, which then rebels and you can take it without any diplomacy debuffs) and at that point you take your 1m gold worth of armor, ditch your soldiers and go fight looters to up those sweet combat stats while being virtually immortal... and during that you can start your grind toward an op knight army while visiting castle villages 😅

My experience with bannerlord and vlandians, when the lands are suffering constant criminal justice from a mad army of calvary troops lead by a crackhead with a spear, derthert is "very" generous about fiefs, actually got a issue with it personally cause it means my tiny army of calvary is always on the front lines instead of making money, 7 feifs in 5 hours simply cause I spent too much time killing bandits and selling all the loot for just enough money to pay for my army till I gotta loot again, that or collecting horses for lords, and caravan sabotages for quick gold, never making profit, always on the dangerous edge of success and failure.

On my campaigns I think I'm always going to choose the valadians not because I like them cuz they remind me of the nights and shining armor but mostly because they have the best buff in the entire game and I'm not necessarily going to join them I just want the buff that they give us all then create my own kingdom.
