Another tip with cutting pvc is to sand the ends to remove any lips and ensure it’s a smooth surface. Otherwise the glue isn’t touching all around and will introduce leaks at the joints.

How are you going to feed your phosphate and other reactors? I would think you would have installed some sort of header with 1/4 or 3/8 inch taps for this.

I get how to put the pipes together but i don’t get the flow pattern in my head I guess each tank is based on equipment being used?

with the returns being so low below the waterline. Would that affect the amount of backflow into the sump during power outage?

@tj’sreef should I buy one ten foot section of pvc for all four lines or get multiple 10 foot lines?

Honestly it depends on your setup. I just buy a bunch of PVC and cut as needed. I like to use 45 degree bends whenever possible, vs 90 degrees to reduce drag. Thanks for the question!

Helpful video but please share close ups or a list of the brands/products you use. My husband and I had to try to pause and screenshot the glue product to make sure we used something safe for the tank. Thanks

It really depends on your setup. Exact placement of parts is unique to each build.

Should I just waterproof all the pieces of wood before building the stand? I'm confused on whether or not I am supposed to waterproof the points where the wood connects.

Why are plumbing elbow of 120 degree called as 45 .

I'm no plumber, but two 120's total 240, not 90 degrees. 😂

@@tjsreef5223 I am working on my sump and wanted elbows after the return pump. Geometrically 45 degree is a smaller angle than 90. So was confused

I hate to tell you this, Brother - but you SCREWED UP buying 90 degree elbows! You are restricting your flow from your pump, thus you are wearing it out faster than need be & not getting out of it what you've paid for . . .and ARE paying for via electrical bills . . . ! Use 45's & open up the flow far better!

Blah blah blah ... a lot of talk with no info. Where is the plumbing diagram (the plan) before you do any plumbing you need a plan. For someone that has not done this before showing me all your plumbing under your tank will do me no good. You need a written plan that can be refereed to and studied to make sure it is understood.
