Excellent video, I really like the real world approach. I have watched many detailing vids, you keep it real, a car that looks like it has seen the world and how to understand the method to correct the paint. Looking forward to the future videos. This really gave me more insight. I had been debating for some to correct my wife's car but never felt like I really understood what to be looking for. Do you cover anything on a future video on how to correct in small areas? I don't plan of have a small arsenal of buffers, just one full size to do it all, so working around the side mirror and in and out the front bumper creavase/grill? Taping chrome trim needed? Thanks again

love your vids, subbed. how come when i use compound either turtle or mg i can easily wipe off but when i switch to a polish and polishing pad i can not wipe off the haze? i use the water/alcohol spray bottle but still gotta do it multiple times? is it because the area potentially damaged by the sun aka clear coat is coming off? or is it normal to see some polish haze left over regardless of paint condition?

How would u know if u need a one or two step polish ? Do u start with polish and if ur not satisfied u do a two step ? Kinda new so would appreciate the help

How do you avoid dusting? I work a small area and still get a big poof of dust on only my 2nd pass. Using Rupes DA fine with yellow pad

If you have a 3" polisher, that would definitely help, but in this video, I used the 5" the entire time. Around the mirrors, I cut and polish by hand.

It is. Light scratches you go polish. Deep scratches u go compound than polish

It's one of my go-to polishers! Like any polisher, it has its quirks to figure out.

How do you know hard from soft coat?

How easy it is to remove the swirls. Always do a test spot before you start the whole vehicle. If 80% of the swirls come out with a polish, it's soft paint. If only 10% of swirls come out, it's on the harder side (as a very general example)

Just to show you can use anything to make it work 🙌🏽. We also have a foam cannon, pressure washer, and everything else right there.

I'm not saying you're wrong but every other detailer says don't use dishwashing liquid. So I'm a bit confused now. That being said I like how you use basic materials for the car because not everyone has all the best liquids. Most of us are just weekend enthusiast

thanks! that's my point with some of these videos. There's so much "you're not supposed to do this" with detailing as if it's some super-elite or complicated thing to do. Most things you need to do can be done with a few items

Thought your not supposed to use any kind of dishsoap on a car because it will affect the paint and finish. CONFUSED NOW.

A lot of people say a lot of different things. Most of them are just an opinion. Dish soap is great to remove any previous wax/sealant that's on the vehicle. This was just an example to show you you can get the job done without having all the "right" stuff 🙂
