So ein Talent auf der Posaune gibt es vielleicht nur einmal alle 50 Jahre.... aber solch ein Talent muss erkannt werden.... also, wer kann Lindberg in diesem Jahrhundert toppen? Wahrscheinlich niemand.....

Maestro! Thank you very much for sharing your tips while preparing the concert. Initially I thought you played the low note after the high E just to relax your lips :-) and not because you should in the music! Ah, Rossini. Looking forward to tomorrow's video! And have a nice 4 p.m. session!!

Your interpretation of your processes and what you are feeling, good or bad, is what your fans&students want to see. You will increase viewership&subscription participation exponentially, whether it's a 5 or 50 minute posts. The making of a virtuoso comes with hard work, and you show this side, mistakes and all. What's the piece he is practising? I think it's a cello concerto but I'm nota sure

Unbelievable technique and he’s old. I’m nothing but a Jazer and there’s no way in this lifetime I would be able to play what he’s playing improvising you can get it to some pretty complicated fast lines, but no way sometimes can you read those lines you can make them up Like a jazzer is Classical music just have perfect players perfect sound perfect tonguing, but I sure could use a lesson with the sky Christian seems like a hint a brick wall with my so-called technique there’s an old saying I’m sweating like a jazz player had a symphonic rehearsal and I’m sweating like a classical musician at a jazz jam session

On the alto, when you play at slow tempo, do you use " ta ka" or single tonguing?

Double tongue so that you practice it properly the way you actually play it in fast tempo.

Christian, are you still using the 4CL for everything, or are you using the smaller 5CL on these long difficult recitals? Especially since you don't have to compete with an orchestra here. I have to say, I have been using your 4 recently, and put a different rim on it that fits my teeth better, and after a few days I realized once again "Christian is a genius". The cup and backbore are insanely good. Thanks so much for that.

Dear Harrison, thank you for your nice comment! Actually, I AM using the 4CL and 15CL plus the resistance balancers for the whole program. It IS challeniing, but particulatly for the opening of Rossini, for all low register stuff and for Tchaikovsky I want a dark and solid sound that goes all the way to the back of the hall. Very interesting with your special rim!

@@ChristianLindbergTrombone I hope the recital went well! Yes, the projection from your 4CL is pretty incredible. It must be the throat/backbore -- the rim I put on can go on any of my mouthpieces so they all feel the same, but the 4CL is just a bigger sound that seems to go forever. I love it. I saw your rehearsal in Colorado a few years ago, and remember when you warmed up on your F, the sound was like you were in the audience. You were backstage! It was fantastic seeing you work on even small things like intonation and chords with that orchestra as the conductor, they really grew in just a few hours. I missed the concert, unfortunately, as I had to move to Japan the next day. I noticed you have a new resistance balancer design, too. Maybe you don't want to give up all your secrets, but I'm wondering what you made that out of?

@@harrisonreed8718 It is exactly the same resistance balancer as always. Write to Jason Smith at Conn-Selmer to have them made again, they went out of stock.
