Not in HFTs but there are other companies like Rubrik, Glean which gives similar compensation more than 1 CR and will allow you.

Just one query, is this companies are less in employ size, so will they take students who r good in that role but they come from tier 3 college and can't able to clear jee adv?

You can apply off-campus on their website. If your skills matches their requirement then you will get the call for interview.

Do quant profile companies open for Maths minor students in IITG as well?

Only major in any circuital branch is eligible. Minor is not allowed.

In IITs as well they only picks Circuital Branch (Computer Science , Maths and Computing, and Electrical). Every branch in IITs has maths in their course but still they are not allowed. They want their employees to have good coding knowledge along with maths and number so I think they won't go for Non Engineers until unless you have a connection in the company.

Bhaiya i am from iit bhu, mechanical. I have two doubt can you please help me out 1.whether Cs branch is necessary? 2.whether there is any minimum cpi criteria? For this as well as for other company like Goldman Sachs and sprinklr e.t.c.

For HFT, Circuital Branch (CSE, MNC, ECE and EEE) is compulsory. For other companies, like Goldman Sachs and Sprinklr there is no Branch restriction. CPI 8+ is safe for every company. So you must maintain 8+ for good placement.

This video is surprisingly depressing. I'm from NIT Surathkal and been actively applying to HFTs since some time and mailing their employees for a chance. I'm from an NIT so automatically rejected

Sorry to hear that. It is correct that top HFTs prefers top 7 iits circuital branches only but there are good hfts like square point India you can start with. Later you can switch to these companies.

Do these companies hire non-iitians.? I am from Mathematics and computing branch in DTU. Do they hire offcampus?

Most of the top HFTs in India only choose students from TOP IITs. They can interview you if you have an extraordinary profile and have a referral too.

Yes, Quant companies Tower Research, Graviton hire from DTU as well. But the number is way less than at IITs + CGPA mark is 9.5+.

Yes, you can apply off-campus. But their expectations are much higher. They prefer IITians and also consider JEE rank + They only prefer Circuital Branch.

Different IITs has different list of companies and it also depends on the year. Like last year few companies came that did not came this year and vice versa. @@Zeroajy if you like theoretical math then can go for Delhi MNC. Otherwise IIT Roorkee CSE is fine. Disclaimer:- MNC maths is very different then IIT JEE maths. Yaha logo ke negative me bhi marks aate hai maths me. CSE walo ke bhi. So choose accordingly Also IITD ki MNC ki placement IITD CSE ki tarah hi hogi.

@@AnkitGupta-wf2lg bro learn to appreciate rather than blaming.Majority crowd of Indian engineers are either settling with a package of 3 lpa in TCL,Wipro or Infosys or are unemployed.I am not even talking about the shit happening with the non-circuital branches in India and thier placements.Whereas you are in a good Nit and you get to see packages more than 10lpa even 20 lpa sometimes.
